A little interesting trivia for you.
What I found interesting was that current Liverpool players, or players who have donned the red shirt in their careers make up 6 of the top 20 in the player rich list. Don't ask me how the researchers got their info though, as I highly doubt Gerrard and co said 'here you go, my accountants said it might be good for me to let you rifle through my finances'! So by all means take this with more than a pinch of salt, I certainly do...

David Beckham remains the richest player associated with British football - his personal fortune of £125million being streets ahead of his closest rivals Michael Owen (£40million) and Wayne Rooney (£35million).
Beckham is 38th in the overall list, while England head coach Fabio Capello is at number 73 worth an estimated £25million with a £6million-a-year contract and a £10million private art collection.
Top 20 players: (overall position in the main list in brackets)

1 David Beckham £125m (38)

2 Michael Owen £40m (56)

3 Wayne Rooney £35m (61)

4 Rio Ferdinand £28m (69)

4 Robbie Fowler £28m (69)

4 Sol Campbell £28m (69)

7 Ryan Giggs £23m (77)

8 Michael Ballack £20m (80)

8 Frank Lampard £20m (80)

10 Steven Gerrard £19m (86)

11 Cristiano Ronaldo £18m (87)

12 John Terry £17m (88)

13 Didier Drogba £15m (89)

14 Nicolas Anelka £14m (92)

14 Damien Duff £14m (92)

16 Dimitar Berbatov £13m (96)

16 Ashley and Cheryl Cole £13m (96)

16 Fernando Torres £13m (96)

19 Emile Heskey £12m (100)

20 Gary Neville £11.75m (101)

By the way, is there a secret room at Melwood where they pull you aside and teach Harvard level business skills, for I notice the likes of Fowler and Owen have raked in a bundle over the years...
That's me off to try to get a trial with Liverpool then, need to know where that secret room is Wink!

Fowler - we all know about his huge property empire.

Anelka - played for some big clubs and also probably got a fair few pennies in signing on fees.

Michael Owen - again - no doubt got a decent amount signing on with Real Madrid and Newcastle are paying through the nose for him.

And why is Cheryl Cole included, they haven't included Posh with Beckham?

What is not taken in to account is how long they have been playing top flight football, Steptoe, at No. 20 obviously has not had any modeling jobs where as Beckham has. It would be interesting to see their medal counts, but to be honest I do not care... they all get payed way too much, but it is supply and demand, simple economics, and well done to Robbie for investing some of his money in bricks and mortar.

David Beckham isn't a footballer. He's a model >:| every girl in Asia goes crazy over him.

Xabi Alonso and Javier Mascherano are just as important as Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard.

The 37 richest in football I presume. The rest are owners, more than likely.

Ah well that would make sense, but I'm guessing this list is of actual players?
