I think Cally deserves thread probably more then any red in history. Heres why

Ian Callaghan is a world cup winner, European cup winner, UEFA cup winner, FA CUP winner and championship winner. He is Liverpool's record appearance holder and spent 18 years at the club, 1960-78, being booked once!! He was there when the club where in the sh**e and helped take them to the very top.

Footballer of the year 73/74. MBE and an all round gentleman. One of if not our greatest ever player

One of the greatest ever Reds. Never had the privilege of seeing him play myself, but all of those honours, the way he stuck with the club through thick and thin is a credit to the man and the club.

      Ian Callaghan, YNWA.

I can't see him getting more games than John Durnin myself.

Very underrated player was Cally, but appriciated by the fans and management of Liverpool Football Club which would of been a lot more important to him than anything else.

A good Toxteth lad to boot ;)

Bill Shankly recognised his value to our club Billy, he had the lot skill, talent and modesty as well. A good Liverpool lad in every sense of the word. If only some of our super stars of today had his values.
