Seriously though. I'm very open to new music me! But their songs all start with the same bassy piano bit and then carry on throughout. The album.

She likes what she likes I have tried my best to influence her but shes having none of it. she wants tickets for the Pidgeon Detectives (Who?) as well

The Stranglers (Carling academy), Paul Weller and The Bunnymen (Areana, but not at the same time!). All in Liverpool just four miles from my house so I can get as messy as I like and just fall into a taxi to get back home!

Weller is a God last time I saw him in concert he was still the Style Council  keep meaning to go see him live again

wasn't keen on his last album I bought 22 dreams listened to it a couple of times and buried it in the glove box

I saw Paul Weller back in July and he was awesome

I saw Paul Weller back in July and he was awesome

I saw him in May in Blackpool earlier on this tour too, how good was it too hear him do The Eton Riffles?!

Wouldn't mind seeing the Stranglers, Crazy Horse. When they playing?

Bootleg Beatles new years eve 2000 was class. Almost think that its the real Beatles especially when your well pi**ed!!

The Stranglers are on in the Carling Academy on 26th October. The day we play Chavski away!

1.30 ko against the Chavs and then the Stranglers at 7.30! All day beano in town!!! 

Its a greatest hits tour, the tickets have been out for a while but the web site will let you know if any are left.

Cracking gig! And they finished on I Am The Walrus which was a nice little touch!

Crowd was full of manc gobshites though which was a shame. Seen one of them pissing on some young lads leg. Arseholes I tell ya.

Ahh yeah it was at the V wasn't it? Was an amazing set that! The Fratellis, Snow Patrol and The Killers were amazing that night too! I was f*cking kettled mind! Free cider off these ale monkeys (official name by the way, if anyone wants to use this in future ) walking around with their tanks of Magniers. We made friends and I got drunk for nothing!

V it was mate! That was one hell of a weekend! Happy Mondays and the Foo Fighters as well. Just Jack was ace too.

We didn't make friends with the cider monsters. Just took loads of vodka in with us.

The Foo's were amazing! Did you catch the acoustic set on the Sunday morning? Absolutely brilliant!

Didn't see it but heard it from our tents mate. Was very confused as you can imagine!! 

My mate and his girl mixed all the drinks into 'allowed sized' bottles before we got there. As far as the stewards knew, we were just taking in cola and water....loads of it

I was eating a fat Yorkie with gravy and sausages while Dave Grohl was knocking out a few classics! Obviously later on I was twatted watching the rock versions!

Paul Weller was in fine form in the Echo Areana last night. He banged out loads of his classic hits. Four Jam tunes, Eton Riffles, Malice, Butterfly collector and Entertainment and even the old Style council tune Shout to the Top for us old bas**rds! He even managed to squeeze in a bit of the Who's Magic Bus and a great rendition of All you need is Love (Originally by some Scouse group). With The Riffles as the support group it was a top gig and a top night!

It was the first time I have been to the Areana and I have to say its quite impressive. The acoustics in the place are great, the sound is clear as a bell! Its a very similar venue to the MEN but being smaller it gives an intimacy you don't get in the MEN and you really feel part of the occasion.

I'm still buzzin from last night and I'm totally gutted that I've got to go and do it all again next week for The Bunnymen's 30th Anniversary gig! What a blow that is!

Sounds like you had a boss night there CH  and I'm jealous as hell that your seeing the Bunnymen next week.

Just listening to a biit of Mr Weller now, was it a top night then Crazy Horse.

Oh and I love Town called Malice! And that Out of the Sinking ain't bad too. (Should still be the tune for Sky's super sunday)

Enjoy the Bunnymen next week too, not really my cup of tea although did like the album Evergreen and the single Nothing Lasts Forever
