Glen Johnson is one of the best attacking right back in football. His defending is not. However, Johnson reminds me of a certain Roberto Carlos. Carlos can't defend well too but was covered by some of the best players in the world while at Madrid. That's the difference.

Much more like it today although still not quite as dynamic as he has been this season.

Love it racer.

My favourite bit is the wee drag back to get by the first man.

Glorious bit of football that from Glen.

Great to see so much determination from Glen then a peach of a pass to Luis at exactly the right time, leaving him to do the rest.

Pretty sure i quickly praised him for his run in thread.

The sceptic in me would say 'It was only Wigan and they defended like bags of sh*te' but i'm not that petty.

He's a great player is Glen. Rafa made some top signings, and this fella is right up there with all of em. Has he got a song yet?

How about, to the tune of Nick-Nack Paddy whack......

Super Glen, left or right.

He doesn't care don't give a sh!te.

He never pays in B & Q,

Glen Johnson is after you.

The run today for our 4th was a joy to watch.

Took four players out of the game with a mixture of skill, pace and strength, and the ball to Suaerz was almost perfect.

When he's on top form, he's one of the best full backs around.

For A Saturday Game
But The Question Asked
Is What Side Will He Play

Now I Believe In Johnson
And Glen Johnson
Will Play Well Tonight

But, When
We're pickin' Glen
As our fullback
It Don't Matter If played
Left Or Right

To Michael Jackson's Black Or White.

Think he's been pretty poor recently and exceptionally poor today. Hasn't had the same intensity and has look laboured in his defending and touch, attitude or fitness I'm not sure but shows we're missing Kelly as Glen could do with a rest in my opinion.

Again comes off a good game against Wigan and then looks to be very casual and in need of a rocket up his arse in the next. He's a big full back and should be putting himself about more in his own box to try and at least prevent his man from having unchallenged headers.

Is correct.

He has been too inconsistent world class one week, poor the next.

The way he fell on his arse for the second was comical and he knew it.

I'm not worried about Glen one bit. Just a bit of a rough patch at the moment, but he's got genuine quality. He'll be fine.

And the very same sentiment applies to Lucas Leiva.

No doubt in his quality just his attitude and desire at times that I wonder about. Just wish he would be more alert at times too.

Agree with many.

Been a little below standard recently.

Desperately needs to do less when he attacks and just get the ball in or lay off.

Tries too often to take a player on or take too many touches.

saying that though, he was great earlier in the season when the rest of the team was so dire and inconsistent.

I've been reading that Glen has a bad toe at the moment. Hopefully he doesn't aggravate that on international duty if it's true  :-\

Another unconvincing display from Glen. Cant pass, tackle or cross at the moment.

He needs to stop standing 10 yards away from the crosser all the time.

I don't think he's blocked a cross since January.

This. Really pisses me off that when the opposition team is attacking down his flank one of either Carragher, Agger or the midfielders has to do the defensive work because he's straying inside to the middle following a f**k up (ie losing the ball) he most likely caused in the attacking third. Got to be honest, I thought he was naff today.

Think he needs a prolonged rest, he's had a good season but recently he's been pretty awful.

Actually, Enrique has the exact same problem as well. Watch the Tottenham highlights again and you'll see Jose give Bale tons of space to cross. Both of them fail to close down their man far too often.

As for Johnson, today he was sort of blah. He wasn't good, but he wasn't really terrible either. He's had a good season, but right now he's been in a bad funk of about 5-6 games.
