MASCH ON BENCH IN VIENNA - WATCH LIVE
Jimmy Rice in Vienna 19 July 2009
Javier Mascherano is set to return to action for Liverpool after being named on the bench for this evening's clash with Rapid Vienna - a game you can watch live only on Liverpoolfc.tv from 6.15pm BST.
The Reds XI in full is: Cavalieri, Degen, Insua, Carragher, Ayala, Gerrard, Plessis, Babel, El Zhar, Nemeth, Voronin. Subs: Martin, Gulacsi, Kelly, San Jose, Pacheco, Benayoun, Kuyt, Mascherano, Lucas, Ngog, Spearing, Skrtel.
Great to see Masch on the bench.

Good stuff!
I'm guessing that most of, if not all of bench will be used as the team for the second half.
Not sure whether to watch live on a stream or wait until it's shown on LFC TV...

I won't be able to wait, I will have to watch it on a stream.
I'm certain Rafa will be doing a bit of mixing and matching again.
Game number 2 on the way then.

Hmm, and Darby. Spearing to RB, Kelly to LB in the second half?

Unless Rafa wants to give Degen and Insua full games, and then perhaps give Johnson and maybe Darby/Arbeloa/Dossena a full game in the next match?

Congrats Crouchinho 8000 posts. I think I'll do the honours in the feedback thread.
But still good team looking forward to seeing another good runout for the lads.

Actually I don't care about the result. I'm more worried about Xabi's future. And I thought that our Spanish lads will play?

Fair doos.
Just had a look over at RAWK to see if anyone knew the reason why Johnson was missing. I should have known really shouldn't I. There's people saying 'Agger is missing - he must be off' FFS!

Agger's injured isn't he? Ross you should no better than to be snooping on RAWK
Maybe Johnson isn't playing because he literally has only just joined and has already played against St Gallen, perhaps Rafa wants a look at some of the others, I expect to see my namesake in the next game though or I will be worried.

Will be good to see how Ayala does. San Jose better play better when he comes on, wasn't at all impressed with his performance against St Gallen.

Agree there 7 KK 7.
I hope for some fluidity, more intent to score, just that winning mentality. Degen needs to show what he can do, too.

Come on the reds. Match number 2 is upon us. It's good to see all the mix and matching, and seeing how new combinations will work/not work. Exciting times these are for the mighty Liverpool Football Club. This is going to be a season to remember. Good luck lads.

Just said on LFCTV that Johnson not playing because of a slight knock, they said the physio had 22 players receiving treatment yesterday.
