I thought of him coming on negatively I'll admit that, only because we were only one up and needed to attack, but he did well and attacked enough for us to get another.

Maxi Rodriguez....He had some golden opportunities and JUST missed.  For some reason I have a feeling he is going to be someone special on the team.  He plays like a machine. Fast, Strong leg.

What the f**k is going on?  I'm really not used to this! :f_steam:

Bring back the sh*te footie NOW!

I know mate. One touch passes that hit their targets, Gerrard doing something positive, a clean sheet, Insua not getting burned constantly, makes me want to vomit.

Congratulations lads. We've done very well today
Positives:
Insua had a solid game
Riera gave us much needed width
Stevie is on his way back
Kuyt ran his socks off and had one of his better games
Aquilani has given us some creativity, just needs to look for the simple pass sometimes
Sortis is Daddy
We played some good stuff going foward. Flowed really well and towards the end we were taking the piss a bit which is lovely

Downpoints:
Carra was roasted too many times
Our defence were lost at times and a better team may have made us pay for the mistakes.
Should have scored more

Good performance, good result.
What's more, Birmingham equalized late on against Tottenham. Chuffed with that.
I thought Kuyt was pretty good today. And thankfully, Gerrard played with a bit more interest.  :P

Me neither to be honest mate, he's not my favorite player by a long shot, but he gets my support once he's on the field.

agree, and to be honest we seemed more compact in midfield when he came on

well a good game and scoreline

Credit where it's due. Well in Redmen.

Good win and it was really good to see that hunger towards the end.

We've got tougher challenges next month but you've got to start somewhere and today fits the bill perfectly.

Some of them cheeky flicks from stevie in the first half. Pure class.
Shame Ngog couldn't put away his chances when they came.
All round good performance by the lads though. Joy to watch.

March on!

Kyrgiakos MOTM - easily. Fantastic display and dominated the back four much better than Carra has all season in the middle.

Well played Mr Hairy.

Just no pleasing some people  :f_tongueincheek:  :f_whistle:

Don't get me started on being pleased with that performance ;)

MOTM Kyrgiakos for me.

Sotiris stuck his foot in into every challenge, never went in half-heartedly and I think deserves a lot of credit today. He held the centre of the back well, was calm whenever under pressure, and even made a goalline clearance early on in the game that if Chung-Yong scored, we might have not won today.

Credit to you Sotiris, a very dominant performance, calm and confident both in the air and on the ground.

A lot of positives for today, our passing was crisp, one-touch and all. A lot of good chances that it could have been a walloping of 5-0 probably, Ngog wasted lots. Although we started the game slowly we grew with confidence and there was a lot of positivity in the camp.

Bring on blueshite.

well, quality performance from lads today. Sotis was a f**king boss and won literally ALL the headers. Aquilani was poor and N'Gog showed very promising. completely convincing if you'd ask me
