Loving it. Mano out, please :)

Schurrle is such an exciting young player, been saying he's great since last season. Can't wait to see him play for Leverkusen.

AQUILANI WINS IT AS TORRES GOES OFF

      Wednesday August 10,2011

A late goal from Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilani gave Italy a 2-1 win over world champions Spain in Bari.

A late goal from Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilani gave Italy a 2-1 win over world champions Spain in Bari.

Riccardo Montolivo gave Italy the lead after 11 minutes before the visitors lost both Fernando Torres and Gerard Pique to injury, with the former apparently suffering from concussion.

Real Madrid's Xabi Alonso levelled for Spain from the penalty spot after Giorgio Chiellini had fouled Torres' replacement Fernando Llorente. The game seemed to be heading for a draw until Aquilani struck from 20 yards out with time running out.

Germany recorded a 3-2 win at home to Brazil with all five goals coming in the final half an hour in Stuttgart.

Playmaker Bastian Schweinsteiger gave the hosts the lead with a 61st minute penalty following Lucio's foul on Toni Kroos before Mario Gotze made it 2-0 with a close range finish six minutes later. Brazil's Dani Alves was then brought down in the box by Philip Lahm and Milan forward Robinho reduced the deficit from the spot.

Andre Schurrle scored his third goal in his sixth international match to extend Germany's lead to two with in-demand youngster Neymar grabbing a last-minute consolation.

A strong France team were held to a 1-1 draw against Chile in Montpellier despite taking the lead through Loic Remy after 20 minutes. The hosts then continued to create chances but it was Chile who found an equaliser when Barcelona new-boy Alexis Sanchez crossed in for striker Nicolas Cordova to level with 13 minutes remaining.

Australia picked up a 2-1 win against Wales at the Cardiff City Stadium with Tim Cahill volleying the opener for Holger Osieck's side just before half-time, Wales having a strong penalty appeal for a foul on Bale being waved away seconds earlier, before substitute Robbie Kruse tapped in the second. Darcy Blake pulled a goal back but it was not enough to prevent a fourth defeat in five games for Wales under Gary Speed.

Robert Snodgrass scored the winner as Scotland claimed their first victory over Denmark since 1975.

A Charlie Adam free-kick was deflected into own net by William Kvist Jorgensen for the opening goal before Christian Eriksen netted for the Danes. But it was Snodgrass who had the final say against a nation who had prevented the Scots from scoring in their last five meetings.

Not just saying this but I did.

Love how for most of the game England had 10 men behind the ball and Bent up front on his own. :f_whistle:

Netherlands going to get a beating by Germany tomorrow I expect. Robben, Van der Vaart, Afellay and Van Persie are out. And looks like Sneijder might be too.

      Game starting in a bit.

Sneijder is playing, but seeing as he waited with deciding to do so untill the warm up I doubt he's fully fit. Strootman still starting ahead of De Jong, and that's good! Kuijt playing too ofcourse. And Babel and Braafheid too! We have a good team if everybody is fit, but those last 2 playing clearly shows we lack depth.

Still expecting to get hammered, but hope not!

When you think Klose is finished, he proves he's not. Amazing how this guy scores so many goals for Germany.
