Welcome to Anfield Andy!

Really happy with this signing. A proper centre forward who can score goals and will put in a shift week in, week out. Other main thing about him is not just the threat at set plays but the fact I think he can do a job away from home, something our previous number 9 couldn't.

Good luck Andy, wouldn't mind 11 more league goals. ;)

I know...I'm sorry, I should change it but at the moment I can't bear to....I still can't believe what he's done to us, I still love him so much.

I'm hoping Carroll takes Anfield by storm and makes me forget Nando.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nolan is a boy hood Liverpool fan so there most probably wouldn't have been any words of discouragment from Nolan to his pal.

I am totally dejected and have lost a massive huge chunk of 'belief' in NUFC as a product for me to further loose more energy, emotion and money in. It is just to draining for me to feel my passion is equally rewarded in any small way by the club.

This deal didn't have to happen, this deal shouldn't have happened, blackpool hung on to Charlie Adam after his tranfer request and I believe his was a genuine request.

I think the Carroll request was contrived by the club, the agent and the player and when it all comes out in the wash it will be the fat man who manipulated this deal to happen.

I don't even think we have had a statement or explanation from the club ?? when we sold Cole KK stood on those stairs and explained to the fans what was happening and the reasoning, now we sell Carroll for a record breaking fee and not a word from the club, well I now think it is time for me to call an end to the many thousands of pounds I put there way in buying corporate tickets and packages, I've had my fill.

I think the final coffin for me is that I want to believe the club will invest £30 million in the summer, but I don't believe it for a second, in fact I think we will continue to sell, Enrique, Colo they will be next.

We could go down, we could stay up, who knows!? But what I do know for sure is that my relationship with Newcaslte United changed tonight and it is one that saddens me greatly.

Good luck lads and lasses but there will be one less on the terraces for the foresseable, I just can't continue with my blind faith, it's actually painful, I never thought I would wirte such words about a football.

I hope one day to rebuild this relationship but it is now at a stage where NUFC needs to earn my trust.

goodnight, godbless NUFC.

I understand AC will be on approximately £80,000 a week, a good £50,000 less than what Torres was on (estimated to be at £ 130,000 a week). Over the course of a year, we would have paid Torres £2.5m more, and over the course of a 5.5 year contract, we would have paid Torres close to £14m more than what we will be paying AC.

LS is also on about £70,000 per week which is roughly the same as what we were paying Babel.

Effectively by selling Torres and Babel and buying Suarez and Carroll, this is how the whole package looks like:

£50m (torres sale) + £7m (babel sale) + £14m (savings on torres wages) - £23m (suarez) - £35m (carroll) = £13m savings (over the term of either Carroll or Torres' contract period - 5.5 years)

Not too shabby.

I must confess, I do feel we have overpaid for Carroll, but he's 22, English and at least I won't have to see him sulking and falling over like a girl most times!

Interesting times ahead.

Welcome to Liverpool Andy Carroll. Liverpool's new number nine!

Really happy with this transfer. Yes, we probably payed 10m too much for him - but he's a really good player and has the potential to be amazing. He's brings something different to our team and I think, along with Suarez, he'll make our overall play much better. I think we played through that tw*t too much times and it made our play suffer because of it. Also got to remember he's only 22, so we've got quite a few years out of him.

People are also saying how good he is in the air but he's pretty good with his feet as well. ;)

Probably paid too much for him but he's only 22 years old and has bags of potential which Kenny will get out the best from.

Maybe he's the strong forward (both on ground and air) that we have been missing for quite awhile.

Wished he'd cut his hair, though ;D
