      1-0. That'll do nicely.

We should be top of the group as it was 3-1 to Young Boys in the other match.

Top of the group and Brad Jones had yet another solid game, he has definitely been putting the hours in on the training ground and its now paying off for him. Glad to see him getting game time now and if Reina wasn't to play at weekend then i wouldn't be too bothered. He could do with a chill on the bench for a game or so whether it is the derby or not, he needs to think about his lacklustre performances as of late.

Thumbs up to the performance tonight!

Good win that, hope Suarez sorts himself out for Sunday though because we look pretty poor in the final third when he's not on form.

      Was not expecting that.

Nice, very nice. Oh, they were sh*te.

They were surprisingly sh*te... You don't get much for a few hundred million nowadays do you.

On our side I have to say I was very impressed with the work Assaidi did

      Well done reds :)

Would like to see Assaidi start instead of Suso for the derby. Was excellent today.

Disappointed by our performance really, where has the passing philosophy gone?
      MOTM 1Wisdom, 2Assaidi or 3Skrtel.

Suarez's passing completion should be around 25% I guess. terrible performance and still cannot understand why Morgan or Yesil were not given a chance. There's nothing positive I can take from this performance except the solid defense.

Good game played well. Toss of a coin between Assaidi and Sahin for MOTM, both were excellent.

      Choice:
A Passing, but loose, i.e. Udinese
      B Tonights performance and win?

Happy we won but if we play like that on Sunday we may struggle. Thought Sterling made a big difference when he came on. He should have done better on occasion, but always looked a threat. Agger and Wisdom the pick of the defenders (maybe Downing :) ) Thought our midfield lost the plot tonight.

The more I see Sterling the more I like him. You can really see that he has a chance to be a top flight player. He is still young and raw but his speed, ability and understanding of the game are great.

I was very impressed w/ their play in the 2nd half, I missed the first half...but, they were in control, quick, clean passes, good set ups, nice shots and ability to create shots, defense stepped up and really took Anzhi out.

At least for me, I am really beginning to see what Rodgers has done and is doing and I can see a huge difference from the quality and spirit of the play as compared to last season. They are starting to fold the youth in w/ the veterans. They are controlling the tempo and speed. They have reduced the opposing chances and just the way the are moving the ball forward w/ quick passes, bursts of speed and getting into the box is very impressive.
