Know what? I hope the rumours about us getting a new CB are true.

God bless Sturridge. Even a far from sensational striker can make a huge difference in a sh*t side like ours.

Sturridge made a real difference. Wonder what he could have offered if got him in the summer. Wouldn't want Allen anywhere near the team for next game.

the scum were there for taking, if it wasnt for our formation and line up in the first half we would have gotten something out of this game. our player were shitt in the first half but i blame BR. What i expect is that he learns something from this game and move on knowing his best team and formation.

Yes, BR got it all wrong, Lucas slow, Allen can't win a tackle against a donkey, not sure what's Downing there for. He got the team defeated in the first half and the substituiton was too late to undo the damage. Question - is Allen, Hendo, Lucas and Downing good enough for us to move the club firward.

I do notice, when Allen, Downing and Lucas in the same team, we're more incline to be defeated than winning. BR still hasn't notice that. The forward line is taking shape but our midfield, aprt from Stevie is mal or non-funtioning.

At least we put in a shift in the 2nd half.

      Cant fault that effort.

we need to bring it on for full 90 mins guys.

Still some positives in this game.

I guess this is a season of near misses

Can't believe we didn't turn up until 70 minutes, even when Sturridge scored we went back to our passive ways.

Sturridge has Luis Garcia v2 written all over him, will dazzle one minute and frustrate the next. Scored one, should have worked the keeper or crossed for two, and should have scored another one.

He did nothing.  To be fair, Sterling did nothing.  And Downing did nothing.

Problem is we've got too many players who do nothing and all of them have excuses.  Oh, Borini's come off injury.  Oh, Sterling is young.

      cringeworthy.

      FT

Biggest noise from the day at the end there from the Man Utd "faithful". Very tame ground today but very proud of the travelling Liverpool fans.

In the end 2-1, cannot complain. They deserve it. Could have been 3-0 in front at half time. Negatives to take but thankfully the second half showed some positives. Pleased with how the attacking front is being shaped but I think Agger and Skrtel have a lot to answer for in showing that they are what we think they are which they just aren't. Defence is becoming more and more of a concern and I wonder about their contribution to the team.
