Can't say I noticed much of him last year to be honest, highlight reel probably flattering him quite a bit as they all seem to. Even on that his crosses seemed very similar and so did his penalties, keepers clearly didn't do their homework much.

Having said that looks a decent enough left back with plenty of pace and I most certainly wouldn't cast judgement purely based on a 12min clip.

Every clip though you think what would Enrique do in that situation and apart from turning like the titanic I'd back him to do equally well or better.

I can safely say that I have never heard of him. That means F**k all, he could be great but then again, if he was great, at 27, I would probably have heard of him before now.

Tell you one thing; if there's any truth in what Barrett says - our scouting department really are scouring the continent for "value for money", hidden gems. They're certainly putting the hours (and miles) in and that can only be good.

I remember Guilherme from FM (he's a good attacking LB on it) but I always thought he was the same left back called Guilherme that played for Vasco years ago... however, I just read his wikipedia profile and it says he never played for Vasco, his only clubs in Brazil were Figueirense, Ipatinga and Avaí, all at a very young age. So he's one of the many Brazilians that leave the country really early, before they can build any kind of reputation here.

By all accounts Cissokho isn't much of an upgrade on Jose but this guy possible is.

If that's the case there should only be one option in Brendan's mind.

I personally think this guy would be an excellent fit for us, good at both ends of the field, much better than both, but that's just my opinion. Would prefer us to go for Baines though, but that's just me, Liverpool fan after all.

Baines is the best LB in the league right now Luke and I'd love him here as well but never see it happening.

Didn't recall him when we first got linked as I don't follow Granada but after watching the youtube clips I do recall a few performances by him and yes I've seen enough to know he's very good and I would rate him way ahead of Cisskho and a couple of levels above Enrique.

Defensively he's on par with Enrique, but attacking he's miles ahead.

Sounds like an upgrade then, or at the very least somone who can push Jose and bring out the very best in him.
