I haven't done this thread for the last three games and we dropped points. I couldn't make them because I wasn't available but now I hope we win this very important game!

Not impressed at all and no Alberto on the bench either.

Looks setup for 3-5-2.

My only concern is that Stevie and Lucas both have to perform well for the formation to have a chance of working.

Surprising that.  Deserves to be there.

We've got 3 defenders and 3 forwards on the bench.  The glaring lack of a midfielder shows up the weakness in our squad and the lack of competition that Lucas, Gerrard and Henderson have.

The problem of an early injury effectively means we have to change tactics - even if we are cruising in the game.  It's not a good place to be.

The starting XI is a strong one and should beat Sunderland, but there is nothing on that bench to scare Sunderland if they do manage to hold us off.  No wonder we have such sh*t second half's.

Anyway - let's do our business first half here Liverpool - 3-0 by half time please!

Disappointed it's the same team though and not much to come from the bench if we're struggling.  Oh well, let's hope the front 3 click this time and we manage to score some goals for a change.

Neither of them warrants their place in the starting XI right now but we have no other viable options.  Jordan Henderson runs and runs and runs but he's not going to take over a game in midfield.  As for Lucas, we don't have a single true like-for-like backup for him; Allen is the closest, but he's more of a CM and not a DM.  So who exactly are you going to put in for Lucas?  I don't want him starting either but we shot ourselves in the foot not getting another DM.

To be honest, I wouldn't mind trying Toure out instead of Lucas.  Toure has played DM before, he's good on the ball, much better defensively.  Put him in front of Agger and Skrtel and give him a shot, it can't be any worse than Lucas, on the form he's on right now.

Put in a shift & bring home the points.

They should do but it's not the point.

If they are so bad it was an ideal time to give a few of our players a break and try something a bit different.

Alberto not getting a place on the bench is ridiculous, we don't need 3 CB's on there.

Still think we'll have way too much for Sunderland as I quite like this formation but still wont change the fact that should Moses need to come off again through ineffectiveness we have no natural replacement for the AM spot.

Why buy him, let him score a hat-trick then not make the bench even, real boost of confidence for the lad that.

Would much prefer Ibe to come on instead of Raheem late in the game too, this lad could make a proper impact for us, anyway gone for 4-0 or 5-0 to us just because we're due to batter someone and I like a better price come on!
