LFC v Hull: Mignolet, Johnson, Cissokho, Skrtel, Agger, Lucas, Henderson, Coutinho, Aspas, Sterling, & Suarez.

      Very attacking side that.

Presume Brendan didn't want to rush Stevie straight back in.

      Mignolet

      Johnson  Skrtel  Agger  Cissokho

      Lucas

      Gerrard  Henderson

      Sterling  Suarez  Coutinho

      That's how I'd go.

Dude I have to ask, why Cissoko? I'm amazed he has made it In to so many posters projected teams. I'd rather Jonno shift out there and play Kelly on the right or go with Agger again. I actually think Traore was a way ahead of this lad and that isn't a compliment!

I still don't think Kelly is fully sit yet for some reason and I'd play Agger at CB alongside Skrtel.

      Has to be Cissokho then.

I'm gutted Toure hasn't come back in to the side for Sakho. For me he hasn't put a foot wrong all season bar the Arsenal game and I think one other where he struggled. I'd have him ahead of Agger every time.

Am assuming Aspas will play through the middle with Suarez but am hoping he will play wide left with Coutinho tucked inside. You have to unlock a Bruce defence because they will be very disciplined and very well organised and Coutinho is the man to do it.

The Giant Head has a very good record against Liverpool, so don't expect any surprises how they play against us.

We have too much quality, going for 2-0

On current form, I think having Johnson and Sissokho in the same back line is asking for trouble. How ever good your C backs are, they can't cover for both full backs for 90+ mins. I bet Bruce can't wait to get his wide men at either of them.
Hope to F**k I'm wrong, but both will have to really raise their games today for us to perform across the rest of the park. They perform their recent standard and we'll have our wide midfield players trying to cover, and have little going forwards. Now I am worried.

Good to see aspas starting. I still believe he will turn good and surprise  few people. He isn't 20+ goals pr season striker but he is a good player to have in the squad.
He has pace & can be tricky.

Anyone remember feeling confident before facing Hull last time?  They one 6-0 last game.  Going to need to be careful.

Either Coutihno, Sterling or both are going to have to put a right shift in to avoid us getting overrun in midfield. I'm fearing the worst here, seriously hope Suarez breaks his "drought".

      Agreed about Toure.

Also agree with your sentiments about Cissoko. I've seen better left backs down the common on a Sunday morning playing for the Nag's Head.

Johnson, Cissokho and Aspas makes this far from the most convincing starting 11's, the bench doesn't feel me with much joy either!

None the less, come on REDS!!

It's a strange one Toure, another that Brendan has signed that appears to be disappearing. I would have definitely had him in the team today, I also wouldn't have played Cissokho or Aspas, would have been Alberto in for him.

We should still have enough to beat these but we absolutely must win this game.

      He f***in needs to,
This is a golden opportunity for him to kick start his Anfield career, don't want to apply too much pressure so I'd settle for him just playing well, linking up well and basically get involved,
If he bags one then bonus but tbh just needs to perform well,

      Good luck son
