Ross Barkley, Christian Eriksen, Connor Wickham, Luke Shaw, Adam Lallana, Christian Tello.

      Why Connor Wickham?

Connor Wickham is like the English Morata.  He's got a good ratio this season. Player of last month. 13 games and 5 goals from 21 shots as opposed to Borini's 5 from 30 games from 62 shots, which two were penalties.  He's also 2 years younger than Borini and couts towards home grown requirement. Sunderland being relegated he could be on the cheap especially as he's under the radar compared to people of equal talent. He's probably going to hit the league by storm once he gets settled into a bigger club... if we don't get him he could well end up at spurs or United and be valuable for them. I'm not saying he'll be a Suarez or Messi.. but I can certainly see him being as big as  Walcott.

Because he's a young Englishman who's just broken into the 1st team setup had 3 very good games recently!!  Surely that couldn't backfire.....

How did I guess you'd mention Borini?

      And Sunderland aren't relegated.

Coutinho and Sturridge (for the most part) were out of favor with their manager. Not on broken legs.

Still low outlay and low risk signings because of that outlay, given his recent injury record and our recent interest in him, I could see it as a deal we'd pursue as given his recent injury record, his fee wouldn't be astronomical.

Just trying to be realistic within a budget, I don't think we could expect to have an endless budget, if so I'd have put Shaw, that's why I also said sell Coates, Jones, Borini and Aspas and give Toure a free transfer, to free up more money and wages, forgot about Assiadi too he could go too.

Wasn't really what I was asking was it?

How have you watched enough Russian football, specifically Domenico Criscito, to be able to recommend him? It's a genuine question because when we were linked to Willian I tried to find even match replays (not highlights) and nothing was coming up.

Basically, because he's had 3 good games we should sign him? Also: Sunderland aren't getting relegated, we're not in desperate need of players for our home grown quota and who are these people of equal talent? Wickham will never end up at United.

Well this his my opinion on this summer transfers, it's going to be a quite long comment. BTW the fares are in € since I am a spanish Pool supporter (I'll try in future posts to put it on pounds

      Sales: Jose Enrique - around 5/6 M€
Lucas - 15 M€ Probably my most controversial opinion, I just think he does not fit well in a more attacking position, nor he will be happy being just the backup for Steve
               Aspas - 7 M€
Borini - I believe Sunderland has a fee for keeping him
               Coates - 5M€
               Agger - 12M€
               Johnson - 5m€

      Signings:
GK: we need a substitute for Mignolet that can challenge him, he's still young but need to progress (mostly when the ball is up in the air). Ochoa is not a bad option, also like Fabiansky. If you want to make a risky move I'll go for 18 year old Ruben Blanco, probably the best GK prospect I know (from Celta Vigo, if someone is highly interested in seeing him play he is supposed to play against Real this Sunday at 7pm Spain, 6 pm UK).

LB: Best option would be Luke Shaw, but I think he's too expensive, I would not like spending half of the budget on him (even though he's great), Rojo is also a very good player, but a bit unconsistent at times, and portuguese clubs always ask for too much money. I think our best bet would be Alberto Moreno from Sevilla (12 M€, if we are fast we can get him before Madrid). The last option could be Schmelzer (around 10M€), he does not thrive on the attacking role, but he's a solid defender that will fit us very well. Last option: Adriano from Barcelona: cheap, great player, but problems with injuries (just like Fabio Aurelio).

CB: Caulker: solid defender, good header, reported good communication skills, quick on lateral movement... Also seem the most reported figure (15m€), Lovren would be a nice, cheaper, second option. Also I like Iñigo Martinez from Real Sociedad, very, very good left-footed CB, a bit too expensive I think as he is being regarded by Barcelona.

RB: Flanno is the man, as a backup I would say Adriano again, he can play both sides naturally and I think Barcelona would sell him real cheap.

Midfield: our top priority in my opinion should be a man that can play at the defensive role if needed (Steve backup), and also play a more attacking role (so he get more mins). The one for this spot, in my opinion, would be Matuidi (PSG), I see PSG making silly moves, signing expensive players, and us benefiting from that once again (18-20 m€). Also like Lars Bender a lot (20m€). More offensive alternative: Highly reported Lallana (the one I like the most) or Rakitic from Sevilla/Parejo from Valencia (both with pricetags around 20m€). More deffensive alternative: Yann M'Vila (12m €)

Winger: I think we need a winger that occasionally can play as a second striker (just in case). Lacazette is the best fit (15-20 m€), Griezmann is also a good option around the same price... Lacazette is stronger, faster, Griezmann can pass the ball better. I also regarded Jay before his injury.

Striker: don't think we need one, but just in case, if the boss want alternatives off the bench I will go for a experienced, cheap guy. The likes of: Klose (Lazio), Gilardino (Genoa), Pellè (Feyenoord), Huntelaar (Schalke 04)...

      Thanks a lot for reading!!

PS: sorry if I misspelled something.

As our budget isn't unlimited and our wanted to go for a few left field options as well as a few obvious ones

Back-Up Keeper - Karl Darlow (Nottingham Forest)
I'd also consider signing him and loaning him out and trying to keep Reina for a year.

Left Back - My left field would be either Layvin Kurzawa (Monaco) or Partrick Van Aanholt (Chelsea).  My 'you must be off your nut' choice would be Aaron Cresswell (Ipswich), a scouser and really impressed me this season.
The dream, the impossible dream is Ricardo Rodriguez.

Right Back - Two off-the-wall ones here, Daryl Janmaat (Feyenoord) and, even wackier, another full back that has impressed me in the Championship, Kieran Trippier.
I can see us keeping Johnson and with Flanagan pushing him, maybe he'll up his game.

Centre Back - Left Field are Joel Matip (Schalke) or Joel Veltman (Ajax)
I suspect we'll get Caulker, I'd prefer Hummels.

In midfield, I think we'll get Will Hughes and loan him straight back. Ignacio Camacho (Malaga) would be one I'd like to see, my real out there option would be Fabian Delph  (Villa) and I'd take a look at Tonny Vilhena (Feyenoord) over Hughes.  I think I've seen enough in this topic to not go over the various A-listers people want in midfield and in the attacking areas.

In the attacking areas, Kolbeinn Sigthorsson (Ajax), Rémy Cabella (Montpellier), Alexandre Lacazette (Lyon), Hakan Calhanoglu (Hamburger SV) and Son Heung-Min (Bayer Leverkusen) are players I think are all worth a look.

Disclaimer - No Football Manager game, or similar has been used in the above. :)

I watched Delph this morning to see how he goes because he was playing well and he lost the ball over and over again. It was really poor. He's like a sh*t Hendo.

I've been a fan of Delph for a good 3 years now and wondered why no one seemed to rate him. He's really come into his own in the last couple of months but I still don't think he's quite at the required level.

When you have one of the best players in the world, you build around him to get the best of him.

I see a lot of names being tossed around like its fantasy football, and some players ive never even heard of, and i watch a lot of footy :)

If you ask me, and im no genious, id buy players who compliment and play to Suarez's strenghts. 100% latins ( spanish or south americans mainly).

Put the names you want but we need players who are on the same wavelenght of luis, and aside from steven, only coutinho operates closely enough. I think daniel and luis feed off each other but stu is nowhere near luis speed of thought, and are not a real "partnership". Works fine, mind ;)

If i had to name players regardless of availability, who i think would bring out the best in luis, id go with guys like
      Vargas from peru
      Vidal or sanchez from chile
      Paulinho from brazil
      Cesc from spain
      Cavani or hernandez from uruguay
      Lavezzi from argentina

Not that we can/will get any of those, just to illustrate the type of players i believe our best player can benefit from having as team mates. And if luis can have a season even better than this...

He would be awesome in the PL and hes being wasted in Barca. He and suarez would make me very happy :)

And i think arturo vidal is just what we need. An awesome player and a beast of an attitude.

And you googled these games specifically to sit down and watch them in your spare time? That's what I don't understand. Is Russian football broadcasted in England, or elsewhere with regular live games, outside of Russia? Likewise with Ukrainian. I see so many names from awkward leagues mentioned and the opinions are given as if experts.

You imply he would be a cheaper alternative but he was signed for €11m and is on a reported €60k a week. Do you think we can get him for a fee lower than this, and for wages lower than his current deal? I doubt he will be looking to move to a club like Liverpool and get lower wages than a deal he has in Russia? Likewise I doubt Zenit will look to make a loss on him.

Thanks though. Bookmarked the first link to watch later.

From the rumors so far, I would like

      Marcos Rojo (LB/LCB) - £12mil; Steven Caulker (RCB) - £10mil; Emre Can (CM/DM) - £12mil; Adam Lallana (AM) - £20mil; Yevhen Konoplyanka (LF) - £13mil; Son Heung-Min (RF) - £13mil

      Sales: Dagger £12mil, Lucas £10mil, Reina £4mil, Assaidi £3mil, Aspas £4mil, Coates + Toure £1mil

Net Investment somewhere between £50-60mil. Definitely do-able. Although I would absolutely hate it if we were to lose our vice-captain!

What do guys like you assume? Just because we are in CL, we're gonna shell out £25-30mil on 5 different players. Ok lets go out and get Shaw, Varane, Reus, Pogba and may be even Benzema. Jeeez!

Its about team chemistry not individual brilliance. Well, not always. Remember where were Studge, Coutinho, Flanno, Hendo, Sterling 2 years back.

Okay firstly, we cannot rely on a Skrtel - Sakho partnership until one of them decides to establish themselves as a leader. We have no leaders in that back line and yes, they are partially to blame for the amount of goals we concede. If Caulker is a leader and as competent a defender as Skrtel, then you may be onto something. Johnson has made it abundantly clear that he's not up to the required standard, and it'd be good for the relatively inexperienced Flanagan to fight for the RB role with a new addition.

You only need to look at City's defence compared to ours. Zabaleta at right back. kompany and Demichellis at centre back. Just to note, they are both vocal defenders and Kompany is regarded as one of the best. Then you have the experienced Clichy and Kolorov at left back. They have scored more than us this season. It's not the system that's cost us goals, but the players we are playing there.

Have you seen Konoplyanka play? A year ago I would've snapped him up instantly but right now, we should be expecting better still. He's a very direct player with little vision. We need intelligent players. I watch Atletico and I see intelligent players who are calm and composed under any circumstances. That will come to us, but you need real quality coupled with leaders to achieve that.

I have faith, especially given the players Rodgers was after last summer, that we will bring in some real quality this summer - FSG permitting

      I like Diego's transfer policy;
"Sign anyone Barca or Bayern are selling!"

Seriously though there are several players at Barca I'd take if available. Sanchez would be a no brainer and I think Adriano would be a good, versatile signing.

At Bayern if Javi Martinez really is unhappy he would be a great fit here. No clue about his wages and I'm sure other teams would be interested.

Arturo Vidal would also be an excellent addition, though probably unlikely unless he's looking for a new challenge.
