A gamble that obviously did not pay off, although I wish him well, wherever he plays.

Read that Mario could return in January.  Seems unlikely, but given our injury problems would it be worth it to have another option??  I don't think even his antics and attitude could make our situation any worse than. It already is.....  seems worth a punt to see if Klopp can figure out how to get the best out of him.

I know it's unlikely, and I know plenty will not even entertain the idea, but wouldn't it be incredible if he came back and just hit it off with Klopp?!  JK has an infectious personality and maybe he could inspire Mario to knuckle down and get his career back on track....  Maybe JK can motivate him in a way no one else has before and he could get Mario to use his crazy personality and aggression in a positive way....  Maybe I've still got a soft spot for the nutter, but I hope he gets it together and fulfils some of his potential.  Even better if he does it with us

You're probably right, and it's probably just the eternal optimist in me that is hoping for the best despite the fact that it's chances of happening are slim to none....  Even so.....
