Completely illogical link once again, do we need him? Not really. So we're going to spend 25 million our our supposed small budget on the wrong player in the wrong position sounds like Groundhog Day I swear our transfer committee is run by closet mancs. If we need another wide midfielder what about Konoplyanka he's a better player IMO and oh yeah he's out of fckin contract committee mugs get a grip we need STRIKERS STRIKERS STRIKERS.

He might be a replacement for sterling but I also think he is a CAM more than LM/RM

So after the Salvio deal fell through we move on to the next Benfica winger, seems legit.

Was only a few days ago that there were 'reports' that United had signed him for 21m :D Got to love silly season.

Unfortunately, I don't think this will happen. I've been a fan of his for years. Most critics will point to a lack of goals and assists, but he usually has a hand in far more goals than he gets credit for. I think he is a lot like David Silva - regularly involved in the build-up play, carves out openings with creative touches, flicks, and passing, but doesn't always get credit for the assist because he didn't play the last pass.

I also think he is the type of player who would operate on the same wavelength as Coutinho!!
