Crystal Palace 1-2 Liverpool: In game and Post Match points
      Mar 06, 2016 12:31:09 pm

      Selhurst Park waiting revenge
      https://twitter.com/LFC/status/706453593881223168

Starting XI: Mignolet, Flanagan, Lovren, Sakho, Moreno, Can, Henderson, Milner, Lallana, Firmino, Origi.

Subs:Ward, Clyne, Toure, Benteke, Coutinho, Sturridge, Allen.

Mamadou Sakho returns to the Liverpool starting line-up for this afternoon’s Barclays Premier League clash with Crystal Palace.

The French defender joins Dejan Lovren at the heart of the Reds’ defence at Selhurst Park, while there’s also a berth for Jon Flanagan at right-back.

Elsewhere, Divock Origi will spearhead the attack, while Daniel Sturridge returns to the matchday squad and is on the bench.

Big decision  by Klopp to leave out Sturridge & Coutinho but Origi deserved to keep his place after his performance in midweek. They are rested for Thursday.

Happy enough with the team. Couple of surprises but we should still have more than enough to crush Palace if we play with "ANGER."

Wouldn't have picked that. Hoping for a continue of Wednesday and if not we have plenty to call upon from the bench.

Please let's beat this lot for once.

Don't think it was a big decision.  Lallana and Origi deserved to keep their places.  I think many of us probably rate Coutinho and Sturridge higher but the manager has to reward form at the minute.

I would back the bench in a 7 a side game against the team Klopp picked.

Don't think Sturridge or Coutinho can complain with that. Lallana and Origi deserve to start after Wednesday.

I agree but they are rested. We need to find consistence.

probably because Clyne has played a lot of football recently and needs a rest.

Looks like Klopp is resting Clynne, Coutinho and Sturridge for the United game. It is in 4 days... anyone would think it is tomorrow. Klopp -1 again in my book.

If Bolasie hits his straps could be hard work Moreno will match him for pace but his tackling and intelligence worry me

Both their goalscorers from November playing again.  Agreed on Bolasie - caused us trouble before.

Personally think this is a sign of prioritising the home game against United and it is somewhere we 'should' be able to rest a few. Get a rest into Cou and Studge here could prove crucial, we'll only know at the end if the risk was worth it but without the benefit of hindsight I'd say it's the smart move.

Our midfield is beginning to rack up the numbers too, Can could certainly do with some time resting so I wonder how long it will be before Joe comes on for him, certainly expect if Allen is at all fit he'll pick up some minutes in the second half.

Time to start turning the heat up on those in the CL spots and who knows we might be able to just pick up the scraps,

3 points please fellas and a few goals too would be fantastic!

Only just noticed we're actually unbeaten (in 90/120 minutes) in the last 5.

Their line up screams out that Ledley and Jedinak will sit in front the back four. It screams out that they'll go fairly direct into Adebajor and Boulasie to negate our high press, with Cabaye in behind and Zaha wide.

It's precisely the kind of oppo set up we've struggled with. Hopefully our improvement continues.
