      ICC 3: Liverpool 4-0 Barcelona
      Aug 02, 2016 12:29:13 pm
With only 1 pre season game after this I expect Klopp will play a pretty much full strength side, with many of the lads playing 90 minutes:

      Mignolet

      Clyne
      Lovren
      Klavan
      Milner (Moreno)

      Henderson (c)
      Emre Can (Grujic)

      Mane
      Wijnaldum
      Coutinho (Lallana)

      Sturridge (Origi)

We are gonna come up against some class players I expect the likes of Suarez/Messi will be playing.

I hope you are right about the 90 minutes. He can do the same the following day with the second XI against Mainz.
Will Grujic and Matip be fit to play by the weekend?
He's not going to leave Firminho out against Barca.

Anyone watching the Barca v Leicester match?

Watching Luis is just a love/hate relationship.

Barcelona lead 3-0 half time. Leicester showing their resilience in the second half though, its now 3-2

Really looking forward to watching it,we will have a good indication of where we are with the season just around the corner, watched them beat leicester,it could have been a lot more than 3-0 at half time,so it will be tough for us,just hope we can keep it respectable and give them a good game.

Couts off for Firmino. He's looking more and more likely like a 2nd half game changer rather than a starter.

It could go either way.  We could play the team Klopp intends to start against Arsenal against Mainz to (hopefully) allow them to score some goals and build confidence by getting a big win against a (theoretically) weaker side.  On the other hand, I personally suspect Klopp will want to test our best against one of the very best sides in the world to see how we stack up.

Well we will not play any team who play remotely like Barca this season so we won't really learn anything at all.

It's all good fun though, think we will be given the absolute run around to be honest.

      Good luck lads!

It's going to be painful to see all the space on the left hand side of our defence get exploited to high heavens.

I think it will be an interesting game as it will be a clash of philosophies. Barca and their possession football against Jürgen's heavy metal.

Personally I was never a fan of the original Brendan style tiki taki "death by football" but I am still not convinced that we don't need some control of games if we are to win consistently with our gegenpressing.

Obviously this is just a friendly, but for me I think an interesting one, apart from the great opportunity to see Suarez and Masch again.

      Can't wait

I think Barcelona will treat this as just a practise match,it will be interesting to see how we handle Barcas possession football. Our ex REDs will get a tremendous reception and deservedly so.
