The option should include the entire first 11 and then some additional players.

For me it is the Man himself, Steve Gerrard. He has been doing a good job. He is still number 1.

Torres has slightly edged it over Masch mainly because he has suprise us all by scoring over 30 goals in his 1st season.

Masch has excelled this season but Torres is just fantastic to watch.

Gerrard,Skrtel and Reina would follow

Their can be only one winner this season and considering it's his first season in the EPL you have to pay total respect to Fernando Torres for the goals he has scored and created and his all round play. Also have to give a mention to Martin Skrtel for the impact he had in the second part of the season it was when he came our defence improved and we stopped letting in silly goals..

Pretty close between Mascherano and Torres, but Torres slightly edges it for me. Considering it was his first season in the Premiership and in England, the amount of goals he has scored is just tremendous.

Mascherano too has had an amazing season, he is very passionate about playing for Liverpool. He has been brilliant, hopefully he will get it next season.

Fair enough but lets not forget about the goals and the things he has done for the club ...
In my opinion he will be sadly missed if he leaves in the summer .

Correct .But this is a poll on player of season everyone is allowed an opinion . so if someone wants to vote for Jar that is there right weather you likeit or not .

Gone for Stevie, scored a tremendous amount of goals for a midfielder/second striker, also got a hell of a lot of assists, haven't got the stats but it's more than double anyone else I think.

Struck up a brilliant partnership with Torres, who also comes in a very close second! Tough to choose between the two of them though!

Funny how Skrtel has only had half a season here and he's one of our top five players in the entire season. Shows how well the lad has done.

Ok so in order it is:

Fernando Torres
Javier Mascherano
Steven Gerrard
Jamie Carragher
Pepe Reina
Martin Skrtel

You can't fault Pepe Reina, he's played every single Premiership game this season!

Agreed. No Offense but Riise has been shocking.
Torres got my vote followed by Masch, Stevie, Carra, Reina and Skrtel.
Torres will win hands down.

I voted for Torres but think Mascherano runs close and Skrtel deserves special mention for the way he came into the team the end of January and settled our defence which had started to look a bit shaky.
