Lets not for get little Sammy in this list, I think he will be one of are best signings by far.

I still think Paco's departure was a massive turning point for us last season. Sammy should bring us some stability in that area. He's an excellent coach, very popular with players, & is Liverpool through & through. Plus the fact he speaks fluent Spanish.

Rafa never shows much emotion on or off the field, where little Sammy is the opposite, he will give the players hell, if he thinks there not doing there job right on the field, and jump up and down with hands in the air when they are doing the right thing, I'm sure he will bring a smile to Rafa,s face.

DOSSENA SIGNS FOUR-YEAR DEAL

  Andrea Dossena has today put pen to paper on a four-year Anfield deal. 
The Italian full-back becomes Rafael Benitez's second acquisition of the summer following the arrival of Swiss international Philipp Degen.
 
Dossena, who has been capped once at senior level by Italy, is seen as the ideal replacement for John Arne Riise, who departed for Roma earlier this month.
 
The 26-year-old began his career aged 14 with Hellas Verona in northern Italy, coming through the ranks before spending four seasons in the senior squad.
 
His big break came when he signed for Udinese in 2005, though he was immediately loaned to Treviso FBC 1993 for a year.
 
The defender returned to the Stadio Friuli ahead of the 2006-07 campaign, where his form eventually saw him make his international bow in a friendly against South Africa in October 2007.
 
By the end of the season his move to Merseyside had been confirmed, with Dossena saying: "Liverpool are a great team, and it is great to be linked to such a famous club. I want to play Champions League football, the Reds have already won it and they often get to the big games. In England, they are on the same level as Manchester United."

One of Germany’s top teenage talents Christopher Buchtmann can’t believe that he has signed for Liverpool.

The 16-year-old young midfielder, had been recruited from Borussia Dortmund’s youth system last month.

He told RevierSport of the pride he feels to be officially on the books at Liverpool, and said he wanted to join Liverpool when he was attending a League Cup clash featuring Liverpool against Cardiff last season.

“When the fans start to sing, you do not know what to say,” he said.

“I want to spend some time at Anfield. Apparently Steven Gerrard sometimes visits the junior games and talks with the players,” he added.

“My whole life I have had enough English to survive, but if I had known I would need a Liverpudlian accent, I would probably have been more attentive at school!”

I think what we need to do is move Babel into Voronin's place. So get rid of Voronin.
Put Benayoun as LM back up and buy a decent left winger.. or get rid of Benayoun aswell.
Sell Pennant and buy a new right midfielder, but maybe Pennant as back up.
We need to either get rid of Arbeloa or Finnan... possibly Finnan
And buy a new goaly

Rafa has got Zsolt Poloskei on loan for the season for the reserve team

Hungarian trialist Zsolt Poloskei will spend a season-long loan at Liverpool, the club has confirmed. 
The midfielder was one of three MTK Hungaria teenagers to arrive at Melwood for pre-season trials.
 
Having impressed staff, the 17-year-old has already been handed a loan deal and will battle it out for a place in Gary Ablett's reserves during 2008-09.
