So here we go with another exciting season and a much improved points system on the prediction league which is as follows.

1 point for correct home score
1 point for correct away score
2 points for correct overall result
1 point for correct score

Let's take the Liverpool 4-0 Rangers game.

A 4-0 prediction would have got you FIVE points.
Any reds win guessing either we would get 4 or Rangers would get 0 would land you THREE points.
Any reds win without getting either scoreline correct would get you TWO points.
An incorrect result but guessing one of the teams scores would get you ONE point

and

if you had predicted 2-1 to Rangers you would, quite rightly, have zero points.

If you're registered from last year then you can use your same login - if you haven't joined then now's the time to.

The Prediction League pages are at

www.lfcreds.com/PredictionLeague/

As usual a nice end of season prize to the victor, and we hope to have some smaller monthly prizes for the 'Manager of the Months'.

Last season's thread was here: http://www.lfcreds.com/reds/index.php/topic,3670.0.html

Some interesting changes made there, should make things a lot more exciting Wink.

I've gone for two clean-sheets in a row, and the same scoreline:

Standard Liege 0 - 3 Liverpool
Sunderland 0 - 3 Liverpool

Anyone agree with me here? Smiley

I used the same login for the Euros as last year so you should be alright. Only one to find out mate, try signing in.

I've gone 5-0 to the reds for Standard Liege game Reslivo.  Wink I reckon we'll make mince meat out of them.

Oh don't get me wrong, I'm certainly optimistic this season, it's just the fact we're playing away that usually gets me. I find we're very unpredictable away, whereas we're far more predictable at home ... minus a few 6-0 and 8-0 victories Wink.

My predictions are:

Standard Liege 0 - 2 Liverpool
Sunderland 0 - 1 Liverpool

I don't think we will get many goals on our first Premiership, hence the reason why I've gone for 0-1.

Well I'm registered and in from the beginning this time.

Mind you given the my track record from last season that should not make much difference.

I am eternally optimistic that Liverpool will always win so if we have a good season I should do well.

All the draws killed me lat season.

Standard Liege 0 - 2 Liverpool
Sunderland 1 - 3 Liverpool

I've gone for Standard Liege 0-4 Liverpool and Sunderland 1-3 Liverpool.

Should be two wins in all honesty but sunderland could be tricky.

Return of the spitter.

I'm in and the score. Standard 1 Liverpool 3 . Standard are by all accounts the best team the Belgium's have produced in a long while (according to the Belgium's). In the past (70's & 80's) they gave us some tough games so whatever happens I believe we are in for another good game all I hope is the players don't take them to lightly....

Both last season's league and the European Championship league have been archived so when you access the Prediction League you will be taken straight to this seasons competition.

An email has gone out to all users reminding them about the league.

Hi everyone, well here we go again with a new competitive season about to start, I've gone 4-0 to the reds Tomorrow and 3-1 at Sunderland for the weekend, same as Lfcreds27, so if I screw up I won't be bottom on my own !
From memory I think I finished 20th in the league and 9th in the Euro's so hopefully the the signs look good for an even higher finish this season !
