We have a great Competition for you to win Paul Tomkins New Book.........Compendium.

Quote
Compendium/The Dynasty Companion

The book will be a compilation of the best bits of all my previous books - the timeless stuff, like Istanbul, Cardiff and Athens. It will also have bits from Above Us Only Sky, my withdrawal of which from retail sale has left me very short of cash in the last year; but I just couldn't stand by what I'd written about the owners after the mess behind the scenes. There will also be a few new articles in there, too.

Compendium will also have the larger statistical analysis section which I'd painstakingly typeset for Dynasty, but for which there wasn't room within a 256 page book (which is all my budget would allow for) without reducing the font size - something I won't do after complaints about my first book. I was going to put this on my website, but it's a nightmare to reformat. Also, I thought it would be a nice reference piece to have in a book, given it has the full lists of all the players in descending order, based on Relative Transfer Fee, Quality and Value For Money ratings, amongst other things.

The book will a fairly limited edition (demand will dictate how many I get produced), given that it will only be available from my site, and everyone who pre-orders before October 21st will get their name printed in the book, in the order of purchase, as a sponsor. Obviously all copies will be signed, as ever.
Also, a £1 will be donated to Post Pals. Three young women with M.E. run it, and it is a charity (status recently secured) that helps support terminally ill children by getting people to send them cards and emails, etc, to keep their spirits up.

More information on how to pre-order is on Paul's website at http://www.paultomkins.com/Compendium.html

Ok, the competition is this.

What position in the League Table will Liverpool be in on the 31st December, what will our goal difference be and how many points will they have? (After the Newcastle game on 28th December)

Every registered member on the forum can enter, but you have to have made 50 posts by the closing date of 5th November (Bonfire Night), so you have two weeks to get your answers in.

Correct points total takes preference over correct goal difference which takes preference over correct position and those who post their answers earlier will take priority over those who post on 4th November.

In the highly unlikely event of a tie - the winner will be chosen from all winning entries at random.

My decision is final.

Enjoy.

It's worth noting that anyones 'points' answer can not be above 56

Thanks for buying a copy to donate, MsG. Very nice of you.

I'll enter, but with a twist. I'll say 46pts, +22gd, and 2nd in the table.

If I win, I'll donate an extra copy, so that the 2nd and 3rd placed in the competition each win a copy.
