      26th December 2008

      Liverpool FC v Bolton Wanderers
      Barclays Premier League at Anfield

      Kick-off 15.00 Hours

Everyone will quite agree with me that all these drawn games are hurting our chances of winning the League this season.

      A bit of History

      Liverpool v Bolton (2006 - 2007) Score: 3 - 0 Goal Scorers: Crouch (61), Gerrard (63), Kuyt (83)
      Liverpool v Bolton (2007 - 2008) Score: 4 - 0 Goal Scorers:Hyypia (17), Torres (45), Gerrard (56 pen), Babel (85)

Should this season be any different? 5 - 0 I might add.

      The best Line-up

                    Reina

      Arbeloa Carragher Agger Insua

      Benanyun Gerrard Alonso Riera

                 Kuyt Keane

Anytime we have Benanyun on the pitch our attack gets better!

I couldnt be arsed what the scoreline is as long as we get the 3 points. It would be interesting to see how Rafa will tinker (and tinker he will with the line up) I have a gut feel that he was thinking about the Bolton game allready half way through the Arsenal game given his choice of subs and the lateness of them.
Bolton can be a tricy side they are big and physical regardless we need to outplay them we have way more quality in the squad then they do.

I would like to emphasise that we can not afford to let this chance slip we have drawn 4 out of the last 5 and have been sh*te at home so this is a must win game for us. I think it would be further encouraging given we are in the midst of silly season we produce and electrifying atmosphere and drive the lads to victory!

      Come on you mighty Reds!!!

Three points would do nicely on Boxing Day.

And seeing as its Christmas, we should hear this from the Kop, will anyone care to join me in some carol singing:

      Oh come all ye faithful,
      joyful and triumphant
Oh come ye, Oh come ye to Anfield
      Come and behold them
      Were the Kings of Europe
Oh come let us adore them
Oh come let us adore them
Oh come let us adore them
      L I V E R P O O L!

I agree, Kuyt does seem to work well with Robbie because Robbie appreciates his work.

                                Reina

                    Carragher      Hyypia
      Arbeloa                                      Insua

                  Lucas     Alonso     Riera

                              Gerrard

                       Kuyt          Keane

May seem odd but Bolton pose absolutely no threat from open play. We dont concede many set pieces and we'll win with ease. Plus, we need to reallyput pressure and attack from the start so i'm going for an out and out attacking line up.

Danny doesnt seem interested right now so play Sami too.

      4-0.

      I hope to see a team set like this;

      - - - - - - - - - - - Pepe - - - - - - - - - -
      Arboloa - - - Agger - - Sami - - Insua
      El Zhar - - - Gerrard - - Alonso - Riera
      - - - - - - - - Keane - - - Kuyt - - - - - -

I thought the last few games Carra looks off the pace which makes me think at his age he is starting to run out of steam and Sami is a must when playing Bolton and their high ball tactics so I would go with the Agger/Sami combo and give Carra night off.

I think with the recent problems I would seriously consider giving El Zhar a run out after a couple of decent showings coming off the bench. Others have been giving a shot and failed thus far so why not give him a shot?

I wish Torres was fit for this game, it would be been the perfect fixture to get the scoring going :)

I think in attack he was good but defensively i thought he could have done better. His movement was very late in the Van Persie goal leaving Carra to try and cover for him from a disadvantaged position. Not only that, he didnt even try to put him off after it as he took his shot.

I'd play Sami just to make sure and to give us some height in set pieces.

To be quite honest, the defence could have dealt with the Nasri pass better but you can't expect everyone to be perfect so we can't blame Agger or anyone.

Let's just hope we can win at home this time :P

I think that him and Carra were both caught off guard in that goal. He put Adebayor in his back pocket whilst he was on the pitch one good example and the only one where Adebayor had an attempt on goal after Sagna's cut ball Agger did immensely well to close down Adebayor's angle and force him into an easy header. He worked superbly with Insua also and had great faith and confidence in him often playing the one two's. I wouldnt be fussed to see Sami in there either as Bolton dont have anyone who can prove a serious threat for us but Agger did play well enough to earn  a recall. Will see what the gaff does anyway.

I think we should go with the same line-up as against Arsenal. Bolton aren't as strong and we should be able to see them off comfortably.

Sick & tired of the recent drawn games that we had.

The only positive is we are still top of the table. We must start winning these games starting now. How we win this, don't matter at all. 3 points in the bag.

I would keep the same line up to face Bolton.
