I'm starting to think I've made him up.  :D

Someone knows who he is at least!

      And a bit more:

      Quote
A complete box-to-box midfielder with a broad range of qualities. Agressive, athletic, strong physic, strong in air, good technic, good passing and vision, good pace, goalscorer. Very ambitious player with winners mentality. Portugese father, icelandic mother."

Think that's an old pic from when he was over on trial.

Could we be looking at a long-term replacement for Stevie when he retires? Looking at his qualities, they sound pretty similar:

One thing is sure, he'd learn his trade from the very best in the world at Liverpool!

      I thought that, too.

Hope to see him play for us in years to come, and I hope he will be of the quality of what we've already got from the danish league.

Don't think we need a replacement for Steven yet, he's only 28 after all! haven't seen this lad so can't really comment!

Me neither, he got some excellent years ahead of him and I wouldn't replace him for any player in the world.

However, this kid will be around when Stevie chooses to retire - him, or another player. I was just saying really that, from what was said about him, he had the same qualities and would be the right age to be hitting his peak when Gerrard steps down.

Certainly wasn't suggesting he be pushing Stevie out of the side anytime soon!

What's the price? Maybe he's being brought in to replace Xabi as a means to raise funds, hope not but if he's any good, why would he want to sign for us to play in the reserves? surely he has ambition to play in the first team, and must know he won't replace Stevie for years.????????????

      Palsson set for Anfield arrival
Liverpool expected to land teenage sensation

Liverpool appear set to complete their first piece of New Year business by landing Icelandic starlet Victor Palsson.

The teenage sensation is currently on the books of Danish outfit Aarhus, where he has been attracting interest for some time.

He is yet to be handed a senior debut in the Superliga but is widely regarded as an exciting prospect for the future.

At just 18-years-old he is already viewed as being one of the brightest talents to emerge from Iceland in recent years.

Standing on the verge of a glamorous switch to Anfield, Palsson will be hoping to make the same impact on Europe's biggest stage as his countryman Eidur Gudjohnsson - a man who has represented Chelsea and Barcelona during his distinguished career.

"I expect it will all be settled and ready to be completed next week," said Palsson, in regards to his imminent arrival in England.

Box to box midfielder then? Possibly a replacement for Spearing?

      ?

Not to replace him literally, just from the reserves. Plessis is more your defensive shielding the defence type of midfielder, whilst Spearing is the other regular who's more attack minded and runs up and down the pitch all day long.

If this lad's going to be playing in the reserves regularly then either Plessis or Spearing are going to be on the bench or getting involved with the first team a bit more.
