He has, very impressive! Think he has been massively underestimated by Froch

      Yep. Definitely.

Froch is a true warrior though.

      Never out of a fight.

Just shown that! Ref could have let that go a bit longer I think. Maybe Groves maybe lost a bit of focus with being so far ahead up until the last 2 rounds

      Aye.

I think Carl would have KO'd him but the ref stepped in a bit early.

      Those score cards are bizzare.

George was way ahead on points.

Anything could have happened then, the likely hood is that Froch would have finished it off but Groves deserved the chance to carry on because he was still showing signs of getting some good shots in. The ref pulled him away from Froch, even after a flurry of shots by Froch he was landing a good one back. Shame it ended like that but Groves can hold his head up high after that fight, deserves a re-match but doubt Froch would go for one

      Agree.

There is every chance Groves could have got through that.

Can't see Carl taking a rematch.

Stopped too early.   Agree there was every chance Groves would have got through that.  It is fine lines for a referee, we are talking about serious precautions, but after seeing again it just was too early.  That was Groves chance not sure he will do the same the next time round if the fight is soon.

Watched Liverpool's Tony Bellew going for Adonis Stevenson's titles in Quebec this morning.

Unfortunately he got stopped in the 6th but to be fair he looked totally out of his depth.

      Feel for the lad.

sh*t - He was talking the talk and I did think he could do a job, glad I didn't see the fight, don't like seeing a local lad out of his depth and getting punished.

What's everyone's thoughts on the big fight at the weekend then?

I think this is going to be a very close fight and although George has said he will stop Carl in 3 I just can't see it. I don't think Carl will under estimate Groves like he did the last time out but also I think George will be even stronger.

As much as I'm a fan of Froch and what he's achieved over the years I can't see past a Groves win here but in the late rounds.

I agree Froch will not under estimate him this time.

I agree it will go late but think Froch will take it. Been a fan of that lad for a long time and just like his tenacity along with obvious skill. The first one was a good fight and although they say the judges had it in favour of Groves when it got to the 9th, by the time the 9th had finished I'm not sure many would have still had him ahead. The knockdown in the first obviously had a massive influence on the scoring up to that point and I believe that's got to some people's judgement.

Gonna go for Froch on points or maybe a late stoppage.

Got to say in the first fight I was a Froch fan until after the fight and in the build up to this one I watched behind the ropes. Froch and his extremely gobby brother come across as nothing but bullies. That said I'm not a Groves fan either as he comes across as far to arrogant. for me a twelve round war with both of them knocking each other out at the same time just before the final bell would be perfect.

Likewise Luke but I just have a feeling this might be a fight too far for Froch although I hope I'm wrong.

Can't call it personally.  I think Groves surprised him last time so he'll be better prepared but I'm not sure it'll be enough.
