Can Liverpool end their run of 3 consecutive draws?
Will Chelsea re-ignite their title chances by beating their title rivals who ended their 4 year home record?

Our games since 2009 hasn't been that nice to watch but bear in mind we are still in the race in January even though we're 2 points behind having played a game more. We are in the race until we're mathematically ruled out. As they say, the ball is around, this is football and anything can happen.

The past results, are the past and we can't do anything but look back and feel disappointed. Now we have to look forward to Chelsea at Anfield which I think is a very important game for us to start winning and gain the confidence back. Let's stop ourselves from free falling and have a good end to the season like we did in 2007/2008.

we should really beat chelsea, considering they are not performing their best this season. it would really re-ignite our title chances.

      ^ Nice.

I had a dream that our support was sh*t, that Benitez picked a crap team and that he substituted off all our players who looked likely to score and we dropped some points.

Oh no, hang on, that was yesterday's game.

We will probably bash them up on sunday,a nd everything will be rosy in the garden again!

We need a big win soon, or else the whole season could collapse into 1 big failure, then we will concentrate on champions league, etc... etc...

I fancy Keane to come good in thsi one, if rafa play's him?

I can see us beating Chelsea because they are not doing well either and Anfield will be electric. But we will probably draw away to Boro in the following league game!

i think we should try some new faces drop players who are under performing like babel, who is more interested in rap music, kuyt who has gone missing and the list goes on. we defionately need two goals and a team committment. this game is huge in terms of points. so vcome reds stap up to the plate ans no excuses about how the other team played

OK ..here it goes...for the third time .....WE MUST MUST MUST win this game .. I don't care who it is Chelsea or Wigan ! 3 points is a must if we wanna stay in this title race.. we a re slipping down the table and given our position to the mancs! We have to beat them at home to end our drawing streak and start Feb on a positive note. So this is my team which I'd put ..I'm not the manager but I have the freedom of speech and expressing my opinion . I'd go for a 4-4-1-1 :

                                                               Gerrard

        Riera                                                                                               Benny

                                      Xabi                                             Masch

      Aurelio                                     Agger                 Carra                          Arbeloa

No it won't.  Our support, in general, is next to useless and more of a hindrance to performances than the 12th man they used to be.  If I was a Liverpool player I would rather be playing away than at home at this minute in time.

Back to the game.  I think we will vastly improve, but I very much doubt we will get three points.

I await Benitez team selection with fascination.

Yeah I think when the team sheet comes out and says Lucas, Kuyt, Dossena, Keane and Babel I might turn over to strictly come dancing   ::)

Two wins against Chelsea and Boro may give us a different outlook...  I think Rafa should play Torres and keane against Chelsea... Chelsea have come back into a bit of form of late so i think we should go at them early.

Huge game, we're not getting the results and well we HAVE to turn it around on Sunday. Big question in my book is if Torres starts or not? He has awful last night and he really hasn't got going, but I guess we need to play him to improve his sharpness. But to get three points we need 11 gladiators on the top of their game. Interesting one, I'd play Torres from the start though.

We need to look at United's display against Chelsea and basically just stay solid for the first 20 minutes and work our way into the game, hopefully creating a few chances and hopefully nicking a goal. Passing needs to improve hugely or else we'll have no control on the game and Chelsea wil tear us apart. I've got faith in Masch so I'd set him to track Lampard all game.

We're in a huge dip in form, but I've just got that feeling that things will click on Sunday...

Remember how we fu**ed up against Barnsley and bounced back awesomely against Inter. I just feel we'll win on Sunday.

      Let's hope I'm right.

I hope your right too. Hopefully Torres will be sharper and hopefully Gerrard won't be taken off this time. As we all know he can pop up with something of great value at any time of the game.

And I agree with JD, I will be anticipating the team selection too...

benayoun could also come in as a substitute. he wasn't bad against wigan afterall.
