      T A-A!

F***ing belter of a ball by Chirivella again, outstanding touch, run and a booming shot from T A-A. Well deserved!

What a lovely goal by Arnold. He had a lot to do when he got the ball. Crackin little player he is turning out to be.

3-0. Terrific win. Didn't give Sunderland a sniff.

T A-A the MOTM for me. Thought Whelan was very good at the back and bringing the ball out, Stewart was very solid, Pedro had a lot of quality on the ball and Ings was superb up front.

Haven't been tuning into the U23's but it seems TAA is really doing well. How far from pushing Clyne for a place would you guys say he is?

I see he was played more as a right winger today though so it might be hard to say, I do get the impression that he's not too far from Jürgen's thinking.

He won't be pushing Clyne anytime in the immediate future but he should 100% be in the conversation for the back up position soon, maybe next season. He's not 18 for another couple of weeks either so he has a lot of growing - as a person and a player - to do still. For how young they are I think both he and Woodburn are doing amazing against players 4 or 5 years older than them.

Funny thing is he was playing right back. Harry Wilson was cutting in on his left from the right wing and TAA was bombing up. Their left winger and fullback were firmly entrenched in their own half having to deal with both of them.

On the rare occasion they had an attack on his flank, he'd bust a lung to get back and win the ball back. I can only recall one error in doing so but Illori saved him, anyway.

Definitely on the right path to the first team but still a little way off. Only just made the jump up to the 23's but he could definitely be in the picture for a back up spot for next season as mcarz says above.

Love him as a player, though. Clever footballer with the skills and physicality to match.

      Cheers.

Totally agree that considering their age to be playing as well as they're reported to be at their ages in that age bracket does seem exceptional.

Just the way TAA has been treated gives me the impression Jürgen sees him as a sooner rather than later type.

All of today's goals, not the best footage though. Trent-AA and Ings best men on the pitch for me. Trent-AA has everything to become a very good RB. He's quick, good feet, great at running with the ball and seems to have a decent cross and shot on him too. Needs some work on the defensive end of things, but he's still so young! Quite a few very talented lads in that team.

Cheers Danzel, Ing's 2nd and TAA's both very nice goals indeed.

Who needs the Champions League when we've got the U23s?

      Not me.

Ilori is the guy I'm noticing so far today, even though Sakho is out there.

You know, Klopp is going to have a hard time keeping Woodburn out of the first team all season. I know he's young but, he's just a cut above. I like players like Brannagan and Chirivella, and Joe Maguire looks good at left back as well - these players all have p otential. But Woodburn is something else quality-wise - just especially promising.

      0-0 half time.

Should be up 2-0 really. Tough start to the game in the opening 15 minutes, but we looked the better team throughout the rest of the first half. Both Ilori and Sakho look great at the back and Woodburn is getting better and better.

Goal Wolfsburg after good initial save from Kelleher. Apparently the director for LFC TV is also a U23....
opts for the closeup of the first shooter rather than showing the actual goal being scored. Oh well.
