HOLLYWOOD STAR PROUD TO BE RED
Hollywood superstar Samuel L Jackson proudly displayed his affection for Liverpool at a Los Angeles ceremony this week.

The 60-year-old 'Pulp Fiction' icon held aloft a replica Reds jersey and LFC football as he made his way down the red carpet at the annual ESPY Sports Awards show, which he later hosted, on Wednesday evening.

Jackson first fell in love with Liverpool while filming cult movie 'The 51st State' in the city in 2000.

The actor was a guest at the Merseyside derby in October of that year, a game the Reds ran out 3-1 winners in courtesy of goals from Nick Barmby, Emile Heskey and Patrik Berger.

You forgot floyd !  or wasn't any one aware? The whole band, 'Pink Floyd' are avid fans and used to be season ticket holders, or exec box or something. Anyway, all used to attend games at Anfield if they were in the country when matches were at home. Thought some of the older lads would have known that.

Well 'Fearless' has been used in the One Night In Istanbul play at the Empire.

Didn't know about them being season ticket holders.

"Please make sure the Mankers are winning all year next year"

WHAT IN GOD'S NAME IS MANKERS ALL ABOUT?

I am sure you are just trying to be rude about United... but just call them "United", or if you must, "mancs"... if you really have to "septics"... I know we can't use the other word for them on here... but MANKERS?!

      Seriously, that is cringe-worthy.

      NO.

Its cool. They are. The lot of em.

It's not really Angelina Jolie that supports us, I always thought it was her adopted son from Vietnam that supported us.

It's Angelina herself - dunno about the son
Her stunt double in all of her films is a massive red (from Toxteth I think) and she kinda forced Angelina and Brad Pitt (filming Mr & Mrs Smith at the time) to be reds fans

*EDIT* Eunice Huthart is her stunt double, ex-Gladiator
      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eunice_Huthart

Stephen Graham's a big red too
He had a great interview in FourFourTwo, callin Gary Neville a tw*t an saying his mum'd batter him   :lmao:

No it was the kid she adopted before getting together with Pitt, I remember seeing an interview on one of the films were Eunice had been working with her and she spoke about joking with him about how she supported Liverpool as well.

And if Stephen Graham is such a top red, he should know better then to give interviews to the scum!!

Off topic a little but i don't like the 'pick and choose' element to supporting a football team these days, I was brought up a red, all my family have been liverpool supporters since its inception, i had no choice in the matter, and i prefer it that way, but obviously i know its not the same for every fan so as long as your heart is in the right place i suppose 'picking' a team can be ok.

Btw - Stephen Graham said in fourfourtwo that he hates with a passion gary 'the scum' neville, and wants to make a film about shankly, with him playing bill. Legend.
