Back on topic, not against the half/half scarves in general for European footy, but those Chav scarves are F***ing minging.

Surely there must be a better souvenir than that? ???

The only souvenir you should want from any of these games is that of a reds win.nothing else matters.

Them daft scarves should only be nailed to the ceiling of your local boozer. Preferably with six inch nails so they stay there. The Kop is ours and not for sharing. The only reason those scarves are made is to sell the Liverpool half to wanabees.

Not a fan of them at all.

Liverpool fans should wear full Liverpool merchandise, not some which is half blue with 'Chelsea' written on it.

      Simple as that really.

Starting to see these knocking round a bit too often now for my liking.

Fair enough - Real Madrid etc debatable as a souvenir but

The number of beauts in the Kop, and I imagine everywhere else in the ground with Half Liverpool/Chelsea scarves on was embarrassing.  Why would anybody wear a scarf with Chelsea colours and badge on? I haven't seen them but I also believe there were some Liverpool/United scarves knocking round the other week.

If you had one of them on last night then you are a bellend.

The only half and half scarves I expect to see inside the grounds are the ones that say 'Liver' on one half and 'Pool' on the other.
Good shout JD why the fck would a liverpool fan want a chelsea scarf above his head ,and anyone who had a scum scarf with them that truly beats the fcking lot ,that surely has to be a wind up .

can only understand it when there's a link between the two clubs.

Only scarf I own is one with LIVERPOOL straight down the middle and the Pride of Merseyside underneath. That's all you need. :D

I hate them, why would you hold up high the opposing teams name and logo? Some idiots will buy anything if they think it will make them stand out. I have the same scarf for 10 years with just red and white stripes on it. Show your support for YOUR team.

      Spot on.

Anyway, the thought of wearing other colours around my neck at Liverpool games makes me sick to the depths.

Just another example of the 'I was there' notion. If anyone gets one, they should be hidden away at games. They're souvenirs. Not LFC scarves!

I've got to confess on buying a Liverpool v Inter one, but I've always had an interest in Inter so when we finally met them I thought buying a scarf would be a good momento. Same for Liverpool v Celtic.

Other than that though, there's no excuse at all.

I've got me scarf I bought at the 2003 League Cup Semi against Sheffield United. Liverpool one, plain and simple. When I take a scarf, that's the ideal candidate.

Never bought half/half scarves. Don't really go in for that, but if I did it'd stay at home like me Liverpool/AC Milan 25/5/05 shirt which is pinned on me bedroom wall. I know quite a few who have Liverpool/Celtic scarves and I think me mate said she had a Liverpool/Linfield one.

The club shop shouldn`t have been selling them for a start.
it was mainly the foreign fans that i saw wearing them, (ie non british and irish)

It's done to get the kids money plus at that age your less likely to have to anger in you towards the opposition. If someone wants to do that that's ok by me as we are a family (in between seasons) but when the season gets going I wouldn't wear one in a thousand and one years......

I bought A Liverpool/Athletico Madrid one after the Champs league match in Spain.

To this day I still have not put it around my neck...it's sitting in my room as a souvenir of my trip to Madrid to watch the Mighty Reds (even though they were in Green that day  :P )

When I saw those people at the Chavs game wearing those halvy/halves I was like WTF  ???

I've seen those scarves for a while, and never understood why some people buy them, I really don't like them. I would understand if it's a souvenir from a trip to another country, but to buy a scarf with the logo of another premier league team...

Can someone tell me what a "beaut" is? Ive been out of the loop for some time now...
      beaut, .noun

      slang (Liverpool UK)

a silly person, a fool a gimp, an arsehole.

Alex Ferguson is a total f**king beaut

Sorry about this J.D. I don't want to open a can of worms but the true definition of the word Beaut is:
      beaut (byt)
      n. Slang
Something outstanding of its kind: "When I make a mistake, it's a beaut!"

Just like And Gray used to discribe Gerrards goal against Olympiakos !

I can understand a local missuse of the word like in Liverpool, similar to the to use of the word "Wicked " to describe something good.

I believe Andy Gray said 'Yes you Beauty'.

Beauty, and beaut are two entirely different things in these parts. ;)

So you flew from Australia to Spain to watch the Atletico Champs league game?

He came over to the UK and then did a detour to Atletico while he was over here.  Class.  There's a thread knocking around somewhere about it.
