You could make Liverpool's ground 75,000-80,000 and we would fill it easily. Might make the price of the tickets come down and stop fans being ripped off by touts.
Now paying for it is a different thing!

I think it'll have to be 70,000 minimum for me, but with expansion for at least 15-20,000 extra seats, included in the design.

Agree 60,000 with possibilities of further expansion, the only worry I have about building this with our current owners is that for the duration of the building there will be very limited transfer funds and even when it is built I'm sure our interest repayments are going to get much larger.

Well Arsenal can fill their new stadium with 60 000, I think that would do nicely. The san siro holds 80 000 and despite being shared by the 2 milan teams it's usually half empty so we dont want a stadium too big.

Think how many people a big Champions league semi final would attract, I would say 80,000 would be about right.

I think our fan base would surely attract 70,000 a game? When you add to the fact that everyone would want to flock to our new stadium, 25,000 more people would be surely willing to pay to go?

However the rise in ticket pricing could influence this.

This has to be a minimum of  70000, we have the demand clearly for this, just look at the season ticket waiting List, 10years and waiting for me!!And think of the revenue this would generate for the club..

      I'd rather have a 70000 seater with 50000 whoppers than a 25000 with 20000 beauts.

You can't keep the plastics out.

Something bigger than 80,000 if the reports about Man City's prospected plans are. Lashing another tier on their council house stadium. Apparently.

65,000 to 75,000 i think would be good 3 stands with 3 teirs and 1 teir for The Kop or would like a stadium like Benfica's Stadium 0f Light

Their stadium is delightful, it's brilliant. Contains the noise really well too.

And I've read somewhere plans are being revised for the stadium and they're upping it to around 70,000

Wonder how the season ticket situation will be.

As long as they start building I don't care how big it is, as long as it is more than 50,000.

So far, it was supposed to be 70,000 - 72,000, but with the plans being revised, the total capacity is now supposed to be 60,000 with the option to build in the future.

      That was my understanding too.

But, weren't those plans drawn up by architects hired by Hicks and Gillett? It looks like they won't be around to see any new stadium, so I wonder if new owners would stick to those plans, or hire someone to design others?

75000, so people don't have to wait 15 years and still not get a season ticket.

Hopefully there will be a re-jig of the plans. Back to 70,000 odd. Hopefully more. ;)

I think the access around the ground however will cap the capacity to around the figure, with it being in a relevantly residential area. But still, it will be a nice little earner anyway. :)

75000 would be perfect, as long as ticket prices arent increased dramatically then we would easily fill it, and we would have bigger attendances than that sh*t-house Old Trafford!
