How big do I want the stadium to be??! Big enough so that when people climb Everest they can take pictures of it from there!

No but in all seriousness I'd love to see one that is 75000 strong. Just think the noise that it could create on epic European nights! Stunning!

The only problem with that would be it would be dead when we play against teams like Stoke, Wolves, West Ham etc etc

I think something like 60,000 would be perfect, big enough to fill quite easily for the big games, and wouldn't look to empty when we play the likes of the above.

Believe it or not the seating amount is the single # 1 design spec for any stadium.  Naturally an 70-80,000 seater would be awesome.  However in Liverpool, highly unlikely.  The logistical elements regarding parking, rail lines, facilities, acreage, size, lighting, security etc... would turn the area around the ground into a madhouse.  More likely a 45-50,000 seater is more logical. The increase from a 20,000 seater to 40,000 seater is not as easy as just saying it costs "Twice" as much because your just doubling the seating.

Its actually exponential.  A 40,000 seater could be 500 Million a 60,000 seater would be 900,000 Million or 1 Billion.

You want a stadium that fits into the design and overall flow of Liverpool. You dont want it to stick out and look out of place.  A big design in the new stadiums is making the stadium look like an old, turn of the century stadium with classic facade of brick and mortar and the Inside being state of the art. A lot of the new Baseball Stadiums like the New Yankee stadium. The outside looks exactly like it did when it was built in the 1900's, then a state of the art stadium is placed inside the interior. So you get great seating views, classic architecture and good amenities. I just dont think a metal and all glass, aluminum shiny stadium would fit in Liverpool.  I would like to see them recreate Anfield in terms of looks and add more seats and make it up to date. Keep the legacy of what makes Anfield a classic park and recreate it with a 21st century touch. lower the Pitch, bring the seats down and closer to the field. increase seating angles and slope the seats. Instead of terraced seating going up step by step they slope it at an low increasing angle which makes the seats closer to the field. Almost like a stretched out wide half-pipe. Some of the Arenas for hockey and Basket ball do it and their is not a bad seat in the place.

Because half of the seats and the pitch are actually lower and go into the ground the outside of the stadium is maybe 2-3 stories high.

60,000 at least. We have the fans to fill it in fairness. Plus it generates more money for the club from ticket sales. However i'd rather the yanks out first.

70,000 would be good, I have been waiting for a ticket for over 12 years now, I would love the chance to have my own ticket instead of buying them and using my brothers season ticket.

I'd say 60,000 with the option to extend to 75,000

What they could do is get in contact with the next 20,000 season ticket holders on the list and find out if they would take the offer of a season ticket, once they get that, then there is a extra 5,000 for general sale, which we all know will get sold.  Then I think 70,000 would be acceptable.  We have a massive support, we are a massive club, which deserves a massive awesome stadium.  Lets get the season ticket list down and get this stadium built once we are sold.

Got to go 80,000. With an extra 35,000 seats, 20,000 of them could be season tickets, which would still give other fans 15,000. Plus it would be bigger than the theatre of nightmares.

Wish they would hurry up as my house is right next to Stanley park, could do with the stadium getting built and adding some extra money onto my house value.

A new stadium, new owners, new era. It would attract lots of supporters from all over the country. I,m from Aberdeen and there are lots of liverpool fans here as i,m sure there are throughout the country. I would like to see an 80,000 seater with the possability to expand.

70000-80000 would be fine I reckon, it would be close to filled each week and would allow everyone who's been waiting for a season ticket to get one.

The Millennium stadium in Cardiff is a nice size as most of you will know, and that's only got a 75,000 capacity.
