On the subject of Tupac and Kendrick Lamar. Kendrick's latest album was originally called To Pimp A Caterpillar(Basically Tupac), but changed it To Pimp A Butterfly to give it a more positive spin. Has anyone listened to the end of the last track on the album, Mortal Man? He's literally having a conversation with Tupac, reciting poetry to Tupac. It's pretty awesome.I think it's a great record. Similar to Kendrick in being socially conscious, and focussing on current race issues. He performed the track The Charade live on SNL, on top of the chalk outline of a human body:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRCLjK5OWjU#wsThe album is quite raw and diverse. Not an easy listen, but so much to discover and delve deeper into.

F***ing loved Gomez back in the day. Could listen to his voice all day. Think one of the surprising things about them is I didn't expect those voices to come out of them
That's great stuff. Hadn't noticed that in Lamar's album and will definitely give D'Angelo a chance. I was addicted to that song a couple of years ago but don't remember much else from Gomez: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9drameYoMek#ws
