He's going to show his class at Under 21, sure it wont be too far in the future before he's in Capello's squad. Without question the best young, English defender currently coming through the ranks.

The lad is going places. That is for sure.

I find i uncanny, given he's a centre half, how comfortable he looked at left back after his amazing performance at right back against Lyon!

I don't want to dig a hole for the lad, but he seriously looks as comfortable and versatile as Carra did in the treble winning season or thereabouts.

Delighted on his well deserved England call up. The future is bright.

Just saw on twitter he scored on his under 21 debut for England, well in lad.

It seems alot of people are now having their attention caught by Martin Kelly. I remember moaning to Gow this time last year that if we sold arbeloa he should be in at right-back. I got laughed at alot on the forums ( not this one I have to say ) and yet when he made his first start against Lyon everyone started raving about him. I see a bit of Rob Jones in this lad. Quick, good in the tackle, can defend, attack, good distribution. Oh, and he can obviously find the net unlike poor old trigger.

Glen Johnson has a fight on his hands as far as I see it because kelly is a better all round player for my money!
