Technically we should be posting in one of these.

I think we all feel the same today. Pride and saddness but in a good way.

We love you Sami, we love you Liverpool!

PS: Thanks for clearing that up, Res! :D :D Understandably, my mind was elsewhere.

So, any goal clips considering there was a football match played?

Great victory for the reds, a tricky game in which we secured second place in the table and bagged another three goals.

Some important landmarks were reached, such as Torres' 50th goal, and the departure of a living legend.

Sami, you have been a rock that we could safely rest upon for a decade, you will remain close to the hearts of all Liverpool supporters and be ever welcome to return.

We bowed out the season on a high - a massive thank you to Rafa and the lads for a tremendous effort and title challenge.

Couldn't get any streams working for more than five minutes so just listened to it LFC website.  Sounded like a great game, and a shame Sami didn't get the goal at the end!

Respect too for the Spurs fans who stood and sang for Justice, and to Robbie Keane for not celebrating the goal.

It's the end of what has been a fantastic season, the best I can remember for many years, and I just can't wait for pre-season to start now

I stated earlier in the season that I thought Robbie would score in the last game, I got the score correct as well.
I only saw the first 10 mins on the stream before losing the link so look forward to the highlights on M.O.T.D tonight !

Only disappointing thing with that performance was Reina not getting his 4th golden glove.

Otherwise, Spurs barely had a sniff at goal.

Very emotional times for Liverpool right now. I wish you the best of luck Sami :'(.

Good game, nice to finish off the season with a win and get our best point total in the Premiership at 86. Sad to see Sami go but it was a good gesture to give him the armband and see him off to Leversksen in good style.

A great end to what has been a fantastic season.

Congratulations to Nando on 50 goals and also a huge thankyou to Sami Hyypia for ten years of impeccable service. You are a legend and will forever be remembered as such by everyone who calls themselves a Liverpool supporter. If only every player was a role model such as yourself.

I for one look forwards to the day you return to Anfield in a coaching role.

      Sami aside.....

Congrats Nando on hitting your 50th Liverpool goal. Congrats to Kuyty  and Yossi for finishing there seasons with goals both have been brilliant. Hard luck Pepe on missing the golden glove but your still the best around. Well in Keane on your non goal celebration. Some respect due back to you on that

Another 3 goals another 3 points could have easily have 8 goals there. Superb finish to a season that deserved more

Didn't realise it was El Nino's 50th till got back and read on the forum.  Well in - in 84 game with the expectation of his price tag and coming to a foreign league - all very impressive.

Fantastic tributes to Sami - maybe not a huge loss on the pitch - but a massive one off it.  I'm sure his experience has been immense for all the younger defenders at the club.  A fine example of a professional footballer in the modern era.

Back to the game - shame that Keane scored for the reasons about Reina's golden glove and also the fact he didn't do it too often for us.  I thought he was poor generally and he contributed to our third goal.  Despite all the flak Benitez copped from some people - getting rid of him in January when we still could get a decent fee was in retrospect the best move we could have made at that point.  I doubt Spurs would have bought him at the end of the season for £12 million +.

I thought Gerrard was poor today, but was impressed with Mascherano and Skrtel.  As for Carragher - I know he was at right back - but I'm definitely concerned.  I think next season Agger and Skrtel will have a strong case for playing as centre-backs.

Anyway nice to meet up with a few faces on the forum who I hadn't seen for a while.  All eyes on the ins and outs over the summer now.
