So the mancs qualified for the UEFA Cup for the third year in a row. Hopefully they'll now discover a fondness for it and take the rest of the season off. Isn't that the done thing?

I have to say though qualifying for it is well worth forking out 400 million quid on players for. Others manage to get there on a fraction of it.

It was actually a pretty good game I thought. You must have been a bit worried in that second half, Southampton came back very strong at you and came damned close to getting the third goal themselves, it would also have been very interesting to see how the game would have panned out if Southampton had been awarded that first goal. They are a very good defensive unit and may well have just shut up shop and looked to hit you on the break. All in all a slightly fortuitous win, but my main question is what the hell was Rooney doing with the trophy, in what way had he earned it, it was almost as bad as Terry at CL final? :-)

The saints deserved a little more than they got being honest as they out played us in departments similar to the way they beat you. Good match for the neutrals if any . Rooney now a long serving legend so didn't have a issue with it myself. With there being every chance he's off in the summer this may well of been his parting gift as a good will gesture.

Nice to see keef not in here taking the piss now if it was the other way around well.
