By my estimation Lallana is now worth £18m.

Thought he did alright first half, 2nd half I thought he was pretty poor. Must admit that's the first game I've gone through concentrating on him though but besides a few nice touches here and there didn't really have an impact.

Having said that you'd be hard pressed to say any England players had a good game.

      I still really rate AL.
The 25 million is too much but as we always say "if BR wants him then pay what we have to"
I think he had a very encouraging first half...2nd he faded...as all the players did except for those that came on.

The England team for the Italy team should be:
      GK: Hart
      LB: Baines
RB: Johnson (there is no other option unfortunately)
      CB: Cahill
      CB: Jagielka
      CM: Gerrard
      CM: Henderson
      CAM: Barkley
      LF: Lallana
      RF: Sterling
      ST: Sturridge.

Not much worth in analysing players on this performance considering the delays and the muggy conditions....and the fact it's a friendly taking place a week before the world cup.

Only thing I'm taking from this match is that Honduras are a bunch of thugs. Their manager looks like a coach driver with a conviction against him (which, incidentally is what Glenn Hoddle looked like as well minus the conviction) and their players are generally a bunch of cowardly cu*ts. Hope France murder them next week!

They are going to get fu**ed up by one of the big boys.
Can't believe woy didnt try out a young attacking side at some point within the friendlies.
This team has to have the most pace and have the most in-form players.

                               Hart
      Johnson      Cahill     Jagielka       Baines
                  Gerrard
                                  Henderson
          Sterling        Barkley         Lallana
                             Studge

      Picked same team as you.
      Totally agree.

      Anyone see this?

'Match suspended due to lightning storm. For safety reasons we strongly recommend that you move yourself indoors.'

      Surely that would suffice?

Translated for England fans as "Time to get pissed"

I honestly thought Henderson was England's best player while he was on the pitch.

Liverpool and everton essentially play the same formation. i dont know why it wouldnt work for england?

Sturridge Sterling and Suarez worked for us with Coutinho in the AM role, throw barkely and Rooney in there where he plays for everton, lots of options.

I don't think score lines are ever important in friendlies to be honest. Spain, Italy, Holland etc. all haven't flattered in a few of their latest friendlies. It's about players getting a few minutes under their belt and improving their match fitness levels. Thought Henderson was by and large the best player on the pitch, his through ball to Lallana was quality! I think Barkley's game would reach another level if he passed more often rather than running into players. It could cost him a spot in the starting 11.

First half, so so, second sh*te but he can lower his price for the whole tournament for me and you're bang on because the whole team were sh*te, they made Johno look OK.

I really rate him, in our squad he'll be a perfect fit, I can see him around the 18 yard feeding sh*t in all day and thankfully Sturridge actually looks like scoring when he plays for us.

Remember how sh*te our lads looked under Hodgson Exiled.

I know, truly terrifying. I've never seen a Manager look as lost as him. Somewhere a secure unit is missing an inmate.

I don't think Rooney is offering much. I kind of wouldn't mind him being dropped. If I was England manager he wouldn't start. If England use a central striker being Sturridge with Lambert as cover, I'd have Lallana and Sterling doing what Suarez and Sterling do on the wings at Liverpool and it would be fine. Barkley, Ox or Henderson and Gerrard in MF. Johnson, Cahill, Jageilka and Baines at the back with Hart in goal. If I was Hodgeson I would be thinking about Ox or Henderson in the starting 11. Gerrard and Barkley have to start. I think we might go 4-3-3. If we do 4-4-2 then we'd be better with Sturridge and Lambert leading attack and Sterling dropping into right midfield.

If Ingerland are to have any chance then Woy has to grow a pair and drop Welbeck and Shrek for Sterling and Barkley. They are so sh*t and offer nothing

Welbeck is absolute F***ing garbage! How he is seen as a striker I'll never know, all he can do is run and even then he tends to F**k it up by running into people. Sterling has done more in 38 minutes than Welbeck has in 175 minutes during the past 3 matches. We've scored 5 goals and he's had no involvement in any of them.

The Rooney situation is strange. A vast majority of fans say he should be dropped but all the pundits think he's the first name on the team sheet ???

      I like these lineups too.

I have a bad feeling about this world cup for some reason. I don't think Roy is Brave enough. I don't know why he likes playing Wellbeck out wide. He's not good there at all. He can 'do a job' but he's more of a Central Striker. I feel bad for him stuck out there like Sturridge was back in the day because he's 'athletic' and 'has pace'.

I can totally see this Italy match being boring as hell, ending up 0-0 and Woy reverting back to 4-4-2.

I really hope i'm wrong and i know warm up matches aren't always a good gauge but he hasn't played this  variation of the formation yet and I think it seems pretty obvious to most people. This teams basically selects itself but we aren't doing it.

If I see the Italy line up and see Rooney, Welbeck out wide and Milner in the Starting 11, i'm throwing all my toys out the f***** pram! ;D  :lmao:

We have totally capable players but we always play boring systems that never play to our strengths. We have exciting, fast, young players that can actually pass the ball but they are gonna suck this world cup cause we have a boring manager.

Then im gonna have to hear the same old rubbish from pundits about "whats the problem with english football? is it too many foreigners?"

      Same old england :f_steam:
