Glad I got mine when I did.  Not sure I would pay a tenner a month for the service as I have a pretty decent iTunes library but I'm happy with the free (ad supported) version.

Trying to get Spotify for my laptop but I can't get onto the website at all.

Then I read somewhere that the free version isn't available anymore - is this true?

Here's my playlist if anyone's interested.  It's called Upbeat Classics To Lift Your Day, rock orientated from 70's, 80's, & a little bit of the 90's.  At the moment there is over 30 tracks that I've added.

So go on then!  Lift your day!  ;)

I'll be willing to wager £10 that Apple tell them to F**k off.

Good job nobody took me up on that offer.

Looks like it's been approved and will be on the iPhone very soon.  IF, and it's a huge IF, this is available over 3G - this could be massive and I'm sure plenty of people will pay the £9.99 a month to Spotify.

      Would you?

Surely that is going to kill record sales.

Artists can't be happy with that?

Just been added to the App Store and on my phone. You need to sign up to be a premium member so I may give it a one month whirl (if that's possible)

Paid for a month to see what it's like.

And it's brilliant.  You can sync as many songs as your phone holds for offline listening if you are somewhere with no network.

      Fantastic.

Apple will probably find this an absolute farce in a couple of months, and regret ever putting Spotify on their iPhones.

I don't think they had any choice. It's going on to the Google Android phones, and coming on to the S-series phones and the Bollockberry very shortly.

Still cracking on the iPhone. I'm still happy to pay for it so it must be decent.  Probably would put up with the free ad version if I was just using it on the computer - but using it 'on the go' makes it worth it. Plus it syncs with your playlists and you can download the tracks to your phone so you can play the music even when you've got no signal.

Can i ask what the difference is between using this and simply downloading music on a program like Limewire/Frostwire etc.? (Other than obvious being it's illegal)

      You don't get viruses.

The music is exactly what it says it is.

Streams immediately and you can move to where you want in the song.

Basically it is exactly like using iTunes but with a million gazillion songs in your library. Plus you can use it on your phone when your out and about. Again a bit like having an iPod with a 3 million gazillion GB memory. ;)

      Did I mention it's legal.

Wait so it is EXACTLY like iTunes?
So say you have Spotify open, (just like you would have iTunes) and you plug your iPod in, and your iPod recognises Spotify and you just put your songs on your iPod like iTunes would?
Or is it just to download them? :P And THEN move them into iTunes?
