judging by BR's comments the other week he needs a lot of match practice so Wisdom will get the nod.

Kelly looks way short of match fitness, even at U21 level.

Yeah so we would probably go with wisdom or give llori a chance at RB.

Big loss in the way we play, even if his personal form is not the best.

I would like to see a record of his form pre & post injuries as he generally has good form -> then poor form which leads into an injury and then good form again & the cycle continues.

I brought that up a couple of days ago mate asking if somebody had any stats but Rodders reckoned it wasn't the case.  I do think there's something to it though.

Ah yes! That's where I saw it! :P

I reckon that Wisdom will replace him, Rodgers sees to like him.

I just said I didn't know about form, just that he had a lot of niggly knee & ankle problems.  If I was to infer a form thing, for the first time last season, him playing more than 30 league games and managing 25% more games than he'd ever managed to play in a season may have had an effect on his general fitness and thus, maybe a detrimental effect on his form, but that would be a stretch, even for my overactive imagination.

It does sound like Glen has got a long standing fitness issue, does need more dedicated investigation to identify the cause and root of the problem.
His form as you say is too erratic for any logical breakdown.

We need some stat geeks to investigate mate.  It's the niggly injuries that I'm thinking about not necessarily that he's had lot's of injuries.

      Ankle/Foot Injury   01/09/13
      Hamstring           25/10/12   09/11/12
      Toe Injury           24/05/12   31/05/12
      Hamstring           26/02/12   07/04/12
      Hamstring           09/09/11   10/10/11
      Hamstring           03/04/11   29/04/11
      Groin Strain           04/11/10   17/11/10
      Thigh Muscle Strain   29/10/10   03/11/10
      Hamstring           19/10/10   24/10/10
      Calf Muscle Strain   30/04/10   13/05/10
      Knee Ligament    29/12/09   07/03/10

Interesting how many times he's been missing through a hamstring injury during his time here. I think it's fair to say with most players who have a niggle but one that allows them to play, it ultimately affects there game (drop in form) and this then possibly leads to a spell out of the team (through injury). I wouldn't single Glen out in this case I think it's a common occurrence in many players.

      Cheers for posting those mate.

Interesting how many of the injuries are around the same time of year too.  Mostly they're late Sept, Oct or Nov and then again Feb to April.  Have you any stats about his form running up to these lay offs?  Sorry for being a lazy sod  ;)

Not really got anything in terms of his form running up to his injuries, I think it'd be hard to evaluate as unless you'd done the research yourself, you'd be going on someone's take regarding his performances.

I would like to think Brendan would be trying out Tiago at RB in training. He definetly has the pace. Wisdom is good but going forward i dont think he offers that much.

Hearing he may be out for 10 weeks with knee ligament damage, even though it was his ankle that was the initial problem. Thankfully we have good cover with Wisdom and Kelly, but still a bad blow. He certainly deserved better luck after what I thought was an outstanding game DEFENSIVELY against the mancs.
Johnson was good against Manchester United,  but it will take a consistent spell of performances like that to be convincing. Wisdom doesn't convince me yet. I think Kelly did well there before.  It's a shame that he isn't match fit.

Great to hear, we need him back asap. These late cameos when we're winning is exactly what Wisdom needs at this stage of his carrer.

I think Ryan should have seen a bit of football pre season in preparation for stepping in Debs.

Going to be a much better Full Back than Andre and possibly even Glen if he progressing properly.
