FIFA or PES?

Been a lot of debate about this in various threads so I thought everyone could put all there thoughts here.

For me, it's Fifa. It's a more complete game than PES. Huge improvements have been made in the gameplay and the licensing and the overall presentation is far superior. Only decent thing about PES is Torres will be on the front cover!

So what are everyone else's thoughts then?

For me its PES. Since i was a kid i was always a International Superstar Soccer head which changed to PES eventually.

So i can never change, every time i play Fifa i think its crap and very childish IMO. Where As PES is more for the older game players like myself. Ill admit Fifa looks better all round but the game play is not as realistic as PES.

I understand why people choose Fifa if they have playing it since day one, Its whatever you started of with you're more than likely to stick to it.

Fifa, and kenny, give Fifa 10 a try and you'll be converted.

I can see why people preferred PES gameplay though on Playstation 2, Fifa was a bit, predictable and static.

Since the next gen though there really isn't any competition in my opinion. PES needs some serious work to be up to Fifa standards.

Spot on, it's which ever one you played as a kid. I've played FIFA for most of my life so its FIFA hands down for me. But of course people who have played Pro Evo will prefer it.

I got Pro Evo 2008 and 2009 and sorry to Po Evo fans, but I thought they were terrible!

Whenever I've played pro evo it seems unfinished somehow, like a vital something is missing. Tis pretty fun though.

FIFA myself, much better series and could never really get to grips with PES.

Pro Evo all the way I admit the last two 2008 and 09 have been poor but they can only get better. I used to play Fifa on the first playstation but since the first pro evo was released in 2001 I have been playing PES I'm looking forward to 2010 being released in october.

Fifa for me. Have always bought Fifa and i think the past 2 Fifa games have been way better than PES. Also, PES is called Pro Evolution Soccer. Fifa is the licensed football game and that's another major factor in my choice of Fifa over PES.

Indeed it was the first and best PES I played, but after that, Fifa is years ahead.

Fifa for me. I never liked the fact that PES had at most two teams from the prem and the rest were given stupid names like Merseyside red

Here in the States its FIFA. Any year 06-10'. The popularity is not as high as it is in England or Europe but those who play it are hardcore.  Some of the Bars/Pubs have tourneys for cash and prizes.

PES on the PC for me because you can completely edit the whole game by importing high quality custom graphics. Kits, badges, lineups, players, chants, stadiums even the in game music!! check out the quality of the work http://pes2008editing.blogspot.com/ its immense and just adds to the realism for me. 

Or you can buy Fifa which has it all already done, the game for the lazy man in all of us.

i wouldnt say it was as customisable though and some of the fifa faces look scary!

pes for me up untill 09 fifa all the way for the year 09 because pes2009 is too slow and pretty robotic if u ask me it is so easy to get past the whole team cut in one way and then another way simple fifa u need to pass and move this year. i hope the new pes beats fifa this year and are the demos out for fifa10 and pes10 on ps3 ?

PES rules, so much more realism graphics looks better and oh the goalkeepers dont catch EVERY single shot even if it curls or blasts over them.

Having played both games, FIFA has improved alot but for the gameplay and graphics, the most important aspects of the games I'd still give PES the edge, considering my personal preferences I still believe PES is the more realistic football game. Looks like Konami are actualy going to listen to peoples suggestions this time around! So that's what game I'll be buying.
