Going to the Hollywood Bowl on Tuesday to see a showing of Back to the Future
It's the 30th anniversary and will be presented with the LA Philomonic playing the score conducted by the composer, Alan Silvestre.
Many of the films actors and memorabilia will be also be there.
      Going to be amazing
B to the F is, in my opinion an utter classic and in my top 10 films ever made.

      Jealous.

We went to see it in the cinema for the 25th and it was great to see it on the big screen. My missus always maintained she didn't like it but after seeing it properly in the cinema she absolutely loved it.

Frailty (2001) - Very satisfying film, 8/10 for me (7.3 from imdb).  Bill Paxton, Powers Booth, Matthew McConaughey and 2 unknown kids as well,  other characters appear, but essentially McConaughey with Booth and Paxton with the kids.  Soft horror, supernatural thriller/mystery.  I think the more modern, cynical movie watcher may be a step or two ahead, but still worth a watch. Really surprised me that I enjoyed it this much.

      Totally disagree
Ted 1 was a super tight and consistently funny film
With Ted 2, though good, was just too long with too many cameos and skits wedged in
It's still very good but a great example of how sequels always try too hard and attempt to pack a lot in when they need to keep it simple

      Well the screening was fantastic
18,000 people packed out the bowl and quoted almost every word and cheered every actors first scenes
To have the LA Philomonic playing throughout the showing was brilliant.
An example of how living in Los Angeles, in the capital of film making really can be unique and wonderful
Feel very very lucky to have been at that event

Watched '71 last night. Great film. A very tense survival thriller with the Troubles as a background. The film does not take sides and shows a bit of the worst of each side, while focusing on the trajectory of an English soldier who becomes separated from his unit during a riot in Belfast at the height of the Troubles in 1971.

Thought Ted 2 lacked those belly laughs you got from the first one, but was still good nonetheless.

      Spy was very good!

And I've just watched Chappie on DVD, and thought it was amazing. In fairness I loved District 9 and Elysium too, so I knew I wouldn't be disappointed.

Just watched Mickybo and Me. Great film, fun, sweet, with all kinds of references to one of my favorite movies in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid... plus the dense and often sad background of the Troubles. It's the 2nd film in a row I watch in row that is based in Ireland during that period.

That's actually the bank where I my first kids bank account. ;D

Haha that's nice mate. Have you watched the film? I think you would like it. Perhaps the one I mentioned on the weekend as well ('71). Must have been a very tough period for the people of Ireland that.

I have seen it. There was quite a buzz at the time when it was filmed as my parents still live in the town. With only about 2500 people living there you can imagine the excitement of a film crew being in town.
