      It's brilliant.

All the young actors did an amazing job of portraying the NWA crew.

      American Sniper.

A bit underwhelmed if I'm honest and while Bradley Cooper does a good job, along with a surprisingly good support role from Sienna Miller, I just didn't engage much with this story.

The action in Iraq wasn't as well done as I've seen in films such as The Hurt Locker and if the time at home was supposed to show Chris slowly getting beaten by the war I'm not sure it does that part very well either.

Decent film and worth having a look at but well below what I was expecting.

The Big Short is Steve Carrell's best movie ever.

Good film. Nothing eye opening if you know the story but I'm glad it was a no bullshit approach to telling the world how fu**ed these people are. No stupid sub plots, just telling it how it is.

      Very solid 8/10 for me.

Watched this last night and actually really enjoyed and know what you mean about Steve Carell, absolute superb performance, can definitely see him doing a few more non-comedic roles after that.

Hopefully! It was a serious role but he still managed to act it with some humour. Brilliant performance.

Bridge of Spies tomorrow. War time plot and Tom Hanks? High hopes.

Black Mass, not great, but a wonderful impersonation of Jack Nicholson by Johnny Depp throughout. He gets the voice and the mannerisms just right.

Slow, obvious and fairly uninteresting story saved by some good acting. Nothing you haven't seen bigger and better in many previous "mafia " type films.

Uninteresting stories, it's a true story about one of the biggest gangsters in Boston who was on the FBI's most wanted for years.

Whitey Bulger who was leader and part of the infamous Winter Hill gang.

Agree its a great story but I've heard Black Mass isn't that great.

Maybe I should have said that the story is presented in a very uninteresting way.

      Schindler's List

      The Big Short

Nah I don't think he's in it, if he is I must have missed him. :)

Watch the Revenant and try to work out how they made the bear attack so realistic instead.

Edit Sorry I didn't mean it as a joke mate... just realised how it might have read! Big Short... Long and drawn out :)

We're watching The Call. You know the one that isn't on the list and probably the worst out of the lot.

I recommend this movie : "Men, women & children."

I stumbled across it while surfing the TV, it was on HBO. Very good movie that captures what the digital age generation goes through and also their parents. A good pleasant surprise this movie was.

Went to see The Revenant yesterday and it is a fantastic film.

I don't think I've watched a film as beautifully shot in a long time. The cinematography was breathtaking and I could have watched some of those scenes all afternoon.

Performances were outstanding as well with Tom Hardy matching Leo scene for scene and an honourable mention to Will Poulter as well.

The score although low key stayed with you and my missus was humming it on the way to he car after the cinema.

      Great film.
