I saw this a couple of weeks ago, and agree.
      A very good film.

I watched Whiplash again last night, and enjoyed it even more 2nd time round.

What a  film!!,J.K Simmons was absolutely outstanding, mesmerising  & brutal in equal measure & thoroughly deserving of the oscar he won.

I kept wondering when he'd start shouting for Spiderman pics
But yes, he was fecking epic.

      Saw a film called Anonymous.
OK, but nothing to really get excited about.

Just watched The Big Short, it has mixed critics and I get why, but I think it's brilliant.

      I thought so too.

Really good film and explained the reasons for the crash very well.

To Live & Die in L.A arrow blu ray
This underrated 1985 gem makes a great companion piece to both director William Friedkin's The French Connection & his other brilliant film wages of fear ( aka sorcerer in the U.S),both films I highly recommend not least of all for one of the best car chases since bullit.

      Just seen Inferno.

Bit of a let down, not as good as the previous two movies, and of course the books are better.

      6/10.

Speaking of Tom Hanks, I also saw Sully the other night. This was okay. It's largely about how the NTSB and the air line trying to claim that the plane could have landed at either of New York's airports and ditching it the Hudson was the wrong call. 7/10

I think the bloke was a hero landing a plane on the river without the thrust of either engines, gliding in and getting the pitch right these things can break like egg shells if they don't he the water correctly.

Eight Days A Week the beatles touring years.
Being a music nut and an absolute sucker for a good music documentary
This was something I have had on my radar for a while & while I'm certainly not a die hard fan by any means I'm certainly a casual fan( born too late in the 60's me).
The documentary is mainly focused on the touring years 1963 to 1969 and features interviews past & present, some extremely rare footage, and some classic off the cuff comments from the late great John Lennon, also some great contributions from whoopi Goldberg, sigourney weaver,Richard Curtis & Elvis Costello,
There is also a 30 minute cut of the 50minute shea stadium concert to enjoy.
If your a hardcore fan of the Beatles then you may well have seen much of the stuff that is contained in this documentary but none the less it is highly recommended and more than worthy of your time ( 2hrs 15) Ron Howard & Giles Martin ( son of George Martin ) have done a fantastic job putting this together.

Due to my respect for your judgement, this has now gone to the bottom of the list.

On another note, "The Accountant" is worth a watch, if only for the fact that the hero (anti-hero) is so unusual.
Apart from that, it's pretty much a bog standard shooter type thingy.

Now I have to see if I can con the Mrs into going to see Rogue One, or if I have to wait and stream it.

It's one you will watch at sometime I'd imagine mate but very underwhelming for me.

Well acted, well filmed but just a bit boring.
