      T in the Park 2009
      Jul 12, 2009 07:00:05 pm
      Has anybody been watching it?

I haven't actually seen any apart from catching a bit of Maximo Park earlier. I think Bloc Party and Blur are on tonight so I'll try and watch them if I can.

Just found out that Blur might be forced to pull out due to illness. Graham Coxon is in hospital apparently. Nothing confirmed yet though.

That's a nightmare that! I was looking forward to Blur. They haven't mentioned anything about Blur coming up in between bands either.

Blur 'might pull out of T In The Park headline slot'

      12 July, 2009

Blur may be forced to pull out of their headline performance at the T In The Park festival tonight (July 12) due to illness.

Festival chief Geoff Ellis made the announcement on the Main Stage at the Scottish festival this afternoon. He explained that guitarist Graham Coxon was in hospital and that the situation was being monitored.

Co-headliners Snow Patrol's Main Stage set has been put back from 7pm (BST) until 8pm.

A spokesperson for Blur, who last played the event in 1999, told NME.COM that the band were still hoping to take to the stage with a stage time later than originally planned.

Ahh okay, looks like we'll just have to wait then!

What do you reckon will happen if Blur can't play? Will somebody else do a set or?

Possibly. But it all depends if they can get a band that are headline worthy up to Scotland in the next hour or so. I think they most likely just stick an apologetic message on the screen.

True. Although they may be able to get some bands to agree to coming back on and playing a few songs again perhaps. I don't know.

How about they get bands to come on and do covers of Blur songs, could be either horrific or genious!

Blur set to play T In The Park after illness scare

Graham Coxon leaves hospital to head to festival site
      Jul 12, 2009

Blur are set to go ahead with their headline performance at the T In The Park festival tonight (July 12) despite guitarist Graham Coxon battling illness.

Festival chief Geoff Ellis made an announcement on the Main Stage at the Scottish festival this afternoon explaining that the band may have to pull out due to Coxon being in hospital.

However, a statement released later, at 9:15pm (BST), explained that Coxon was en route from hospital and would join the band to play their show with a later stage time than previously set.

Co-headliners Snow Patrol's Main Stage set had been put back from 7pm (BST) until 8pm to give the guitarist more time to recover.
