Manchester City are destroying the transfer market in England.

I'm still struggling to get my head around the fact that one of the richest men in the World would like to own Manchester City.

Did he think he was buying Utd. City are a mickey mouse club with a very small fan base especially outside Manchester.

What do they expect to achieve because no matter what City win they will still be a mickey mouse club.

I wonder how many of there squad actually heard of Manchester City before they went there, Silva made some ridiculous comment about always wanting to play for City or something along them lines.

Probably like Robinho, thinking he was off to Manure.

Robinho said he was delighted to be at Chelsea when he signed for City.

If Gerrard leaves I appreciate that some of you would like Ireland to play here. The guy is a great talent but he has a terrible attitude problem.

Manchester City 's new signing Yaya Toure will become the first Premier League player to smash the £200,000-a-week wages barrier. His weekly wage of £220,000 will earn him £55.6m over his five-year contract.

      What a waste.

F**k me , stuff like that will ruin the Premier League , granted i didn't watch all of Barca's games when Yoyo played there , but that figure is mind blowing . He cant be worth that surely ???

Citeh will bankrupt any club that attempts to outspend them at this rate. Its a hidous display that shows once again that the FA might aswell just release a statement that says...

We have no control over any of our clubs and will sit idly by as they all run themselves into the ground in the name of ever increasing corporate greed

Yaya Toure will soon become another expensive flop.

He has gone from a midfield of Xavi & Iniesta to Barry and Kompany.

It will not be as easy as it was for him at Barcelona.

I try to stop myself from saying that because if we had the same amount of money to throw around I don't think I'd be complaining!

      You're right. I'd probably won't complain too :P

Well, I guess buying many players are what most teams want to do but Man City kinda really pay too much and offer way too much wages that don't reflect the quality of the player itself!

they are going mental with their money, i'd stop short of saying they are destroying football,

Yaya Toures wages make me sick, if he was at a top club he would be paid at most 80,000. its not like he was even wanted at barcelona, he couldn't even get into the first team.

Manchester City have offered forward Robinho to Valencia on a season-long loan as the Eastlands club look to save on at least part of his £150,000-a-week wages

How many players are teams allowed to have in their squad next season. I thought it was supposed to be 25. City have eight players in central midfield alone FFS. This isn't team building it's just buying everyone the owner has heard of.

      25 is correct.

8 of which have to be homegrown and four out of that eight have to be have trained at your club for at least three years before the age of 21 which is why they were so desperate to keep hold of Joe Hart. He'll be one, Micah Richards, Nedum Onouha and I'd imagine Steven Ireland or Michael Johnson to be the fourth. Their other four will probably be Bridge, Lescott, Barry and Given.
