      Found this:

      MAN CITY TO BUY GB

The club believed to be the richest football club in the world today announced plans to purchase the UK. A bid of GBP12.50 is thought to have been tabled to the Queen, the current owner. However it is believed that she is holding out for GBP15 and a steak meal at a Beefeater restaurant.

A major sticking point could be Wales, who's ownership is in question. Shop chain Londis claim to the sole owners of the principality. The Queen however denies the allegation stating "I never shop in Londis so I couldn't have sold Wales to them, Happy Shopper now that's a different story"

Again, you'd think you would be able to at least get the right thread.

Could you post something with more than two syllables?

Would probably cause a brain overload.

Getting reported for inducement also it seems, only caught the end of it on Sky Sports news but i think it was a french club and they claim its more serious than the Chelsea fiasco. Wouldn't it be fantastic if they got banned after they have spent so much? After they realize they have an unbalanced squad then they can't do nothing about it!

Looks like they're really pushing the boat out to push for a go at the title so far, already signed David Silva, Jerome Boateng and Yaya Toure and it seems that there will be more to come
Wouldn't be surprised if they were to play a 4-3-1-2 or 4-1-2-1-2 (Diamond) next season, looking like this

      Given

      Richards/Boateng-----Toure----- Richards/Boateng----- Bridge

      Toure-----De Jong-----Barry

      -----Silva-----

      Tevez-----Adebayor

If they sign a defender or 2 they will have a top quality team :-[

What you reckon to their antics?

A year ago, i liked Man Citeh's success story in the transfer market. I still don't mind that they can afford these players, maybe a tad jealous but nothing you can do about that.

I don't mind the fact that City can now do it - it's the attitude of the fans.

Suddenly on the whole they've turned into arrogant pricks. Like they've forgotten their roots or something.

There all good players, but can they work well as a team and gel?

I still wouldn't count on them getting the top 4.

City still can't sell out Eastlands, week after week there's empty seats around the ground. They are a small club who think money makes them a big club.

Even now, our starting XI against there's, I'd be hard pushed to want any of their players in our starting XI.

Pepe or Given - no contest.
Johnson or Richards - as much I don't rate Johnson, I'd still take him over Richards.
Carra & Agger or Toure & Boateng - Toure is hit and miss and I don't know Boateng, Carra is solid, Agger is a beast. Our pair any day.
Insua or Bridge - Bridge is one overrated sh*t left back, Insua has a promising future, I'd take the Argie all day long.
Kuyt or Bellamy - Bellamy will run all day, so will Kuyt except Kuyt will score a few more.
Aquilani & Masch or Toure & Barry - don't know Toure too much and Barry is just sh*t, give me our pair as they have skill and brutality.
Benayoun or Silva - OK, they have one player I'd take for our starting XI.
Gerrard & Torres or Tevez & Adebayor - no explanation needed.

City are a small club with pretty average players. They were lucky we were so sh*t last year. If we can keep our side fit, then City will be lucky to make the top six.
