Fantastic drive by the World champion...

Rosberg by the sounds of it will be penalised for radio instructions & rightly so...

Terrific stuff from Lewis this afternoon and indeed the whole race weekend. Absolutely dominated from Friday onwards. At 47 race victories he is getting nearer to Alain Prost's total of 51 GP wins. Still some way to go to reach Schumi's grand total of 91 but in all honesty I didn't know if I'd see Prost's record be beaten for a second time. Lewis is well onto it now as well as the all time record for pole positions which just underlines what an incredible driver he is!

I think the rules can be a bit stupid at times but if the rules say you can't help them then you should abide by those rules. They remembered the rules when they refused to give Hamilton any help a few weeks ago so the same should be done with Rosberg. A penalty should be handed down without a doubt.

Glad to see Hamilton win the race. He drove well.

Hope the FIA penalizes Rosberg for the radio transmissions. They know the rules and broke them today.

Rosberg looks a bit lost at the moment as if everyone is against him. Would he have not finished without the help of the pits? The penalty if applied should take that into consideration.

The penalty was strictly for the order to 'shift through the gear'. He'd already had plenty of help as it was when they asked him to change engine mode. The stewards not buying the 'car would have stopped on track otherwise' excuse. I don't think the rules offering no help are a bad idea at all. The driver must show his ability to improvise and work through the problem. For instance, Schumacher drove 2/3rds of the 1994 Spanish Grand Prix stuck in 5th gear and finished second. Rosberg just seriously lacks the cutting edge and improvisation that stops him from being a great driver. It's all very well winning races at a canter on these modern Tilke designed glorified car parks that give us little to admire in race craft but when it comes to your classic, unforgiving race tracks and the extremities offered by the weather, he is so far behind the elite class of Hamilton, Alonso, Vettel and young Verstappen.

10 seconds penalty they will all be at it now. What a cop out if you are going to have this stupid rule at least use it properly.

I agree. You can give advise to a driver if he's more than 10 seconds in front knowing that the penalty is only 10 seconds. Does make a mockery of the rule.

Beg to differ, posted mid-race, think Hamilton may have been on the TV twice, the start and a pit stop.

Need rain that race, and every race too.
