      YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

Huge in Brazil, probably unknown to you :P

I'm not their biggest fan though, its just the first brazilian name that came to my mind. All my friends love them.

They're not really unknown anymore but when I first heard them no one knew who they were. Friendly Fires, they make very unique music.

Okay, a couple more i recommend on top of Lowrider up there :)

First off, my girls best friend Karissa is married to a bloke named Adam who has a band in San Jose, and they are really good. Getting alot of shows around the bay area, and looking to get picked up by a label. Very rocky kinda emo sound, but not that annoying emo, the good stuff. And Adam is F***ing boss on lead guitar and vocals. Real good live to, saw em beginning of August and they rocked the house down, good entertaining stage presence to. Adam's a top lad to drink with to  So check out there Myspace, got 3 quality tracks up there!

Another one completely different style of music, but still great. Saw these guys today in Eugene, my girl has known the lead guy for a few years after he came in to do a workshop at her university in LA. Was so weird actually, we have only just moved to Eugene and these guys just so happened to be making the 8 hour drive to play here this weekend. He was like, what the F**k are you doing in Eugene? Anyways.
Lead singer and writer is Andrew Heringer, real nice guy hung out with em after the set and he was cool. His band is Andrew Heringer Band, and also has a collaboration with another girl called Dawson and Marie. She played with the band today to, was really good. They are a real acoustic, stripped down soft rock with alot of heartfelt songs, but also very fun. Was a top show and if you love good acoustic rock/folk, check em out.

A band I'm listening to at the mo' is The XX and their self-titled album.

It's melodic, swirly, atmospheric, pop at it's best ...... a fine 'comedown' album.  ;) ... Standout track = 'Crystalised'

      The xx - Crystalised

The Metros, they're not togethor anymore but did release one album recently before they split up, a bunch of young lads with a lot of talent and a very exciting album with not one boring song.
