We deserved to lose in my opinion, Benayoun changed the game so he has to start. I think that we may even play 442 against Stoke on Wednesday as Gerrard played well in the centre.

Eh? We didn't deserve anything from this game. We didn't play well, we're beaten, fairly.
We could have conceded 1 penalty when a freekick was blocked by Kuyt(?)'s hand. Johnson's penalty was a soft penalty anyway.

I think people need to wake up and realise that we're still in holiday mode.

One positive point though, Insua looked safe, Pepe kept us in the game for long time (Thank God) and Benny shows that he should be given more time on the pitch.

I thought Spurs bossed the first half like you said but even in the second half they controlled the game. We were just whacking it up while Spurs were building attacks. Both goals for them were from set pieces given away by fouls to stop dangerous attacks. How many dangerous attacks did we create? Johnson's one that got the penalty and then they penalty that was denied at the end. They had 3-4 major chances in the first half and even in the second they went close from in and around the box.

We looked so ragged and fragile. Had a feeling we would lose today. Maybe not a bad thing. Give everyone a kick up the arse and realise we need to improve in all areas on last season. A bit of fear is a good thing.
Positives? Lucas got better as the game went on. Ayala and Yossi did well. Johnson looked an improvement on Arby going forward. That's about it.

Oh and I've just remembered the blatant penalty that we should have had. sh*t.

We need a new signing a winger in my opinion or someone to play behind Torres as today we clearly played our best with Gerrard in middle field. Johnson and Benayoun best players today Lucas played ok but didn't want the ball as much as the other two. Solid performance from Insua but we just didn't have the rhythm of a winning team today. Hopefully in the next game Gerrard and Torres will be sharper.

Absolute F***ing sh*te we were, I can't actually remember the last time we were that w*nk. Carragher gets the ball, hoof back to F***ing spurs.
Should have had about 3 penalties but oh no the fat c**t dowd didn't see them, yet we have three players booked.
We play like that all through the season we can kiss goodbye to the title. I cannot express how utterly pissed off I am after that game.
