Big day for Ayala, he could really cement a spot in the 1st team squad with a good showing today. As for the line-up pretty much what I expected as I did not think Rafa would sacrifice the Torres/Gerrard attack after one game.

Obviously the inclusion of Ayala is a concern. But he's been thrown in at the deep end and it's up to him to show what he can do.

I feel we've got enough in attack to score a few goals here.

But we've got to keep hold of the ball and not give simple balls away. Looking for a big improvement!

Apparently there is going to be some kind of 'demo' during YNWA against the owners.

The eleven out there should do the job. Mind you, I said that before both games last season!

I think Ayala will be able to cope, he impressed at the end of the Spurs game and I don't think there will be a huge amount of defending to do so he'll be OK.

The lads will be out to show everyone what we're about after Sunday's disappointment.

This is the perfect game for Ayala to find his feet and get a bit of confidence going, Stoke aren't very potent up front and their main attacking option from what i've seen seems to be Rory Delap's long throws. Carra will marshall him well i'm sure.

Other than that it's a good first XI so here's to a comprehensive victory.

Rafa must have a lot of faith in Ayala to put him in against Stoke, , good luck Ayala....

Happy to see Yossi start, he actually looked like he wanted to move forward with the ball rather than going nowhere on Sunday. Hopefully none of this bollocks about Rafa will get in the way and we can get a comfortable win. 3 points is a must...

Absolutely ilated that Benayoun is starting, from day one I sung his praises and he is coming through adeptly. FFS please control the midfield Lucas, and even trying to get in with a goal. This should be our confidence booster for Villa, come on Redmen!

If we win ten-nil tonight Nicholas will still slate us.

Glad to see Riera and Ngog on the bench - a bit more attacking threat compared to Sundays game.

Well happy to see that lineup, think it's by far the best we could have fielded. Yossi definitely deserves to be in the starting eleven. First 30 mins of this match is crucial in my opinion, if we score I think we'll go on and win comfortably. If not, it'll only strenghten their resolve and we know by now how well they are at holding on.
