I know it was only Stoke but they managed two 0-0's last season and we showed the football that saw us win nearly every match in the run up to the end of last season.

I think today's performance was what was needed great game lads ! Especially Ayala and Johnson more so Johnson he used his attacking abilities superbly today and the team as a unit worked very hard and showed how determined they are. 4-0 couldn't ask for anything more apart from a goal from Lucas

Voronin also had a nice chance to score

What about Johnson fella? Scored a goal remember! Deserves a mention

Great mid-week! Reds victory + Scum defeat.

Great win, should do wonders for the player's confidence. Johnson was absolutely magnificent tonight, only two games into his Liverpool career and he seems to be worth every penny we paid for him. It was a great all-round performance, mentions should go to Ayala and Insua for doing well. Lucas had a pretty good game too, hopefully he can continue on that. But there's no doubt for me, Johnson was the man tonight.

Great result and excellant performance, how good was Johnson I knew he would be good for us but for f'ck sake he was upstoppable tonight, thought Lucas and Mascherano improved a 100% for Sunday.

 Insua is impressing me by the game Aureilo is going to find it really hard to get back in. I also have to say fair play to Ayala what an accomplished performance from the young lad. Gerrard and Torres looked a lot sharper as well.
